Chapter 13

The summons comes at dawn.

Serena is awake when Marta knocks — she's been awake for hours, watching the gray light seep through the curtains, tracing the raised lines on her thighs where Irina's handprints have faded to a dull ache. She sits up when the door opens. Marta doesn't enter. She stands in the threshold, her uniform crisp, her face unreadable.

"The east wing. Now. Madame requests your presence in training clothes."

The door closes.

Serena dresses in the black sports bra and high-waisted shorts that have become her uniform. The fabric pulls across the residual tenderness on her ass, her thighs, her shoulders. She walks barefoot through the glass-walled corridor, the morning sun casting long shadows across the stone floor.

The double doors to the east wing are open.

Inside, the room has been rearranged. The chairs that lined the walls yesterday are gone. In their place, a single row of four chairs faces the center of the mat. Madame Korvin sits in the first, her silver hair swept back, a strand of freshwater pearls at her throat. Irina stands behind her, arms crossed, her pale gray eyes finding Serena the moment she enters. Claude occupies the third chair, his wire-rimmed glasses catching the light, his charcoal suit immaculate.

And in the fourth chair, Viktor Petrov.

He looks the same as he did on his island — soft around the middle, receding hairline, wire-rimmed glasses. The kind of man you'd forget in a crowd if not for his eyes. Gray as a winter sea, holding nothing back because there's nothing behind them to see.

He smiles when he sees her. It doesn't reach his eyes.

"Elise." He says her name like he owns it. "Back on your feet. I'm impressed."

Serena stops at the edge of the mat. She remembers his island. The auction. The velvet ropes. The way he watched her from his chair, the same way he's watching her now.

"You've come a long way since Croatia," Petrov says. His voice is soft, almost gentle. "Madame Korvin tells me you've been an excellent guest. Irina says you fight well. Claude says you take instruction." He tilts his head. "I wanted to see the progress for myself."

Irina steps forward. She's dressed for combat — black tank top, track pants, bare feet. Her silver-streaked hair is pulled tight. She cracks her neck, once, and meets Serena's eyes.

"Same rules," Irina says. "Fight me. If you win, you rest. If you lose —" She glances at Petrov. "You'll find out."

Serena's jaw tightens. She looks at the four chairs. Madame Korvin, serene. Claude, impassive. Petrov, smiling.

She looks back at Irina.

"I accept."

---

Irina moves first again. Same as yesterday. A rush, a strike aimed at Serena's solar plexus — but this time Serena is ready. She sidesteps, catches Irina's extended arm, and pivots, throwing Irina off balance. Irina stumbles, catches herself, and turns with a look of genuine surprise.

"Better," she says.

Serena doesn't answer. She presses forward — a combination, jab-cross-hook, and the hook lands, her fist connecting with Irina's jaw. Irina's head snaps to the side. She takes a step back, touches her jaw, and when she looks at Serena again, her eyes are different.

Serena's heart pounds. She's never seen Irina's composure crack before.

The fight continues.

Serena lasts two minutes. Then three. She absorbs a body kick that would have folded most women, counters with a knee that catches Irina in the ribs. Irina grunts, backs off, circles. Her breathing is audible now — not from exertion, but from something else.

Frustration.

Irina rushes in. Serena catches her in a clinch, works a trip, and for a moment — a single, crystalline moment — Irina is off balance. Serena drives her to the mat.

Irina's back hits the rubber.

The room is silent.

Serena is on top of her, scrambling to secure position, but Irina's eyes have gone flat and cold. She bucks, once, twice, and on the third she throws Serena off with a power that feels like rage. Serena hits the mat hard, the air leaving her lungs, and before she can recover, Irina is on her.

There's no technique now. No clinical precision. Irina drives a knee into Serena's lower back, grabs a fistful of her hair, and yanks her head back.

"You almost had me." Irina's voice is low, controlled, right against Serena's ear. "That was a mistake."

She slams Serena's face into the mat.

The world goes white. Serena tastes blood. Her vision swims. She tries to buck, to fight, but Irina's weight is immovable, her knee grinding into Serena's spine.

"Claude," Irina says, her voice carrying across the room. "The restraints."

Serena's blood runs cold.

Claude rises from his chair, crosses to a cabinet Serena hadn't noticed, and returns with leather cuffs — four of them, connected by short chains. He kneels beside her. He doesn't speak. He works with the efficiency of someone who has done this a hundred times — one cuff around her left wrist, one around her right, then her ankles. The chains are short. She can't spread her limbs more than a few inches.

Irina stands. She looks down at Serena, bound, face-down on the mat.

"Roll her."

Claude turns Serena onto her back. The chains clink. The cuffs bite into her skin. She's on her back on the mat, her arms and legs pinned close to her body, her chest heaving, blood dripping from her split lip onto the rubber.

Irina looks at Petrov. "Permission?"

Petrov nods. The smile is gone from his face. In its place is something clinical, attentive. He leans forward in his chair.

Irina kneels beside Serena. Her hands find the hem of the sports bra. She pulls. The fabric stretches, tears, gives way, exposing Serena's breasts to the room. Serena's breath catches. She forces herself not to cover herself — she can't, anyway, the cuffs won't let her.

"Yesterday," Irina says, loud enough for the audience, "I touched you. You came. Do you remember?"

Serena doesn't answer.

Irina's hand finds Serena's throat. Not squeezing — just resting there, her thumb on Serena's pulse point. "Do you remember?"

"Yes."

"Good." Irina's hand slides down. Across Serena's chest, over her sternum, between her breasts. Down her stomach. Her fingers hook into the waistband of the shorts and pull. The fabric slides over her hips, her thighs, her knees. She's naked, bound, exposed on the mat, the morning light falling across her body.

Irina's hand settles between Serena's thighs. Her fingers find the slick heat there, and she makes a sound — low, satisfied.

"You're wet," Irina says. "After everything. After the fight, the fall, the blood. Your body knows what's coming."

She stands. She crosses to the cabinet Claude opened. When she returns, she's holding something — a silicone phallus, black, harnessed to her hips with leather straps. Serena's stomach drops.

"No—"

Irina's hand catches her jaw, holds her still. "Yes."

She positions herself between Serena's bound legs. She doesn't hurry. She takes her time, adjusting the harness, watching Serena's face, letting the anticipation build. The room is silent. Madame Korvin watches, her fingers touching her pearls. Claude watches, his hands folded. Petrov watches, leaned forward, his eyes bright.

Irina pushes inside.

Serena's body arches. A sound escapes her — not a word, not a scream, something between. The silicone stretches her, fills her, deeper than fingers could reach. Irina rocks forward, once, twice, establishing a rhythm, her hands braced on Serena's hips.

"You fought well," Irina says, her voice low, conversational, as if they were discussing the weather. "Better than anyone has fought me in years. I was almost impressed." She rocks forward again, harder. "But almost isn't enough."

The rhythm builds. Irina's thrusts grow harder, faster, each one driving Serena's bound body across the mat. Serena's hands are useless, her legs pinned, her body opened and taken. Tears are streaming down her face. She's making sounds she doesn't recognize — pleas, half-words, broken fragments.

"Please—"

"Please what?"

"Please stop—"

"Why?" Irina drives deeper. "Your body doesn't want me to stop. Your body is wet. Your body is clenching around me. Your body is lying to you."

It's true. The heat is building in her belly, the shameful pressure that has nothing to do with what she wants. She can feel it rising, can feel her hips trying to meet Irina's thrusts, her body betraying her claim by claim.

"I'm going to make you come," Irina says. "In front of all of them. And then I'm going to ask you if you've had enough. And you're going to say yes. And then I'm going to keep going."

She reaches around, finds Serena's clit with her thumb, and presses.

The orgasm tears through Serena like a blade. Her back arches, a raw cry torn from her throat, her bound body shuddering against the mat. The waves roll through her, endless, helpless, her cunt clenching around the silicone, her vision whiting out.

When she comes back to herself, Irina is still inside her.

"Have you had enough?" Irina asks.

Serena's voice is barely a whisper. "Yes."

"Louder."

"Yes."

"Say my name."

"Irina. Please. Please stop."

Irina holds her gaze for a long moment. Then she withdraws, slow, deliberate, the silicone sliding out of Serena's body with a wet sound.

She stands. She unbuckles the harness. She sets it on the cabinet.

She turns to Petrov.

"The evaluation is complete."

Petrov rises from his chair. He crosses the mat to where Serena lies, bound, naked, her thighs slick with evidence. He looks down at her. The silence stretches.

"You came here as property," Petrov says. "You'll leave as an asset. There's a difference, and you're going to learn it."

He looks at Madame Korvin. "I'll take her."

Madame Korvin nods. Her expression is unreadable.

Petrov looks back at Serena. "Unbind her. Give her clothes. She has two hours to pack."

He walks out of the room.

Claude moves to unbind her. The leather cuffs fall away. Serena doesn't move. She lies on the mat, naked, used, the ghosts of Irina's thrusts still echoing inside her.

Nadia appears at the edge of the mat. She doesn't speak. She holds out a hand.

Serena takes it.

She stands. Her legs are shaking. She doesn't look at Irina. She doesn't look at Claude. She doesn't look at Madame Korvin.

She walks out of the east wing with Nadia's hand steady under her arm, and she doesn't look back.
