This is a work of erotic fiction. Any similarities to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental. Do not do anything like this in real life. If you’re a minor, or don’t like these kinds of stories, don’t read it. All characters in sexual situations are eighteen or older.

You may share this text freely with others, as long as you don’t modify it (other than text formatting changes and fixing typos).

The story is my own. It’s based on the world of Yandere Simulator, but you don’t need to know that to enjoy the story. Canonically Ayano Aishi (Yan-chan/Yandere-chan) has supernatural powers. This story starts with the premise that Taro Yamada *also* has supernatural powers.

Chapter 1 — A warning

As I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes, I received a strong premonition.

In my vision I saw an older man and a younger man conspiring in a windowless room. They were huddled together over a tall stack of reports. They were arguing over one of those reports. The report’s title was my name. Below my name was a recent picture of me.

The older man said, “Let’s backtrack to what we agree on. This young man, Taro Yamada, has a subtle gift. He is supernaturally attuned to others’ decisions about him that significantly impact him. This attunement has two powerful aspects, foresight and forcible commitment. The foresight aspect of Taro’s power enables him to occasionally envision a future event that will result from someone’s decision directly about him. He can’t control what the visions reveal. He can sometimes prevent that future event, though it takes effort and there’s no guarantee he will succeed. The forcible commitment aspect of Taro’s power enables him to force people to unswervingly obey all verbal promises they make to him until he permits otherwise. Taro has to be holding their hands with his own for his forcible commitment aspect to work. When that happens, they’ll realize their wills are completely under the control of their promise. They don’t have to reveal this to Taro, though, unless their promise requires it. We’re sure Taro knows about the first aspect of his power. We doubt he knows about the second aspect of his power.”

The younger man said, “I agree his gift is clearly powerful enough to justify inviting him to Akademi. My point is that Taro also presents an unusually large risk to Megami. In the right circumstance he could completely control her. I see no way for Megami to escape Taro’s control if he obtained it. That would obviously upend our goal of making Megami unstoppable through friends and allies her age who have extraordinary powers. Taro might also learn some of our most important family secrets. If we bring Taro closer to us, more of our decisions might be directly about him and trigger his premonitions.”

The older man replied, “All of these students present a risk to us. That can’t be helped when you’re trying to collect the most specially gifted students into one place. We believe Taro’s premonitions won’t be able to scry us here because this building is warded with counter-curses. Megami will be at Akademi, but she can’t give away what she doesn’t know. We believe Taro doesn’t know about the aspect of forcible commitment, and we think he’s unlikely to learn about it. Ergo, he’s unlikely to use it.”

I smiled. I was glad these men incorrectly thought their building protected them from my foresight. I would do my best to ensure they never learned differently. They were potential foes. It’s best for me if my potential foes don’t know their own weaknesses.

They were correct that I hadn’t known about the second aspect of my power. It was ironic that they revealed it to me. I would be careful. I wanted them to continue to believe that I didn’t know about it.

The younger man in my vision continued, “It’ll be my head, not yours, if anything goes wrong. I’m not even certain that’s metaphorical. I should have a bigger say in the risks we accept. You have to admit this Taro kid is a big risk.”

“No, I don’t agree. The limitations of Taro’s power mean we can counter the risks. Megami knows we have to keep secrets from her so she can’t give them away. We can tell her some information, though. We’ll tell Megami to never hold his hands, to never promise anything to him, and to avoid him in general. She’ll follow rules like that. She knows the stakes. Those rules should adequately protect her. We sure as hell don’t want Taro gaining power where we couldn’t easily observe him. Our enemies might gain him as a firm ally without our knowledge.”

The younger man said, “I don’t think that’s enough. We can make exceptions when collecting the most gifted students. I want Taro to be an exception. He makes me nervous. He has exactly the kind of subtle supernatural power that could upend everything.”

“You think Taro’s riskier than the others? Please. That’s bullshit. He’ll be one of the easiest students to contain at Akademi. Taro can’t control what his foresight shows and he doesn’t know about his forcible control. Let’s look at the other students, shall we? We agreed to invite Oka. Her occult powers can literally summon demons. We agreed to invite Ayano. She’s an intelligent and heartless girl with supernatural perception, on her way to becoming the world’s greatest assassin. The whole point of Akademi is to collect the most specially gifted young adults as students. We prefer those with supernatural or superhuman gifts. He could become a formidable ally for Megami.”

“You’re being ridiculous. Look at the risk!

“You should expect heightened risks. No risk, no reward. We know exactly what their gifts are. We will use that knowledge to limit the risks to Megami. Having Taro at Akademi will give them many mutual friends. That’s what we want. We are inviting Taro.”

The younger man replied with a soundless angry look.

My vision ended. I knew Akademi invitations would go out next week. Therefore, my vision must have been from a discussion that will take place in less than a week in the future.

Clearly the trigger for my foresight had been the older man’s decision to invite me to Akademi. My visions were only triggered by decisions about me that would strongly affect me. An invitation to Akademi certainly counted. They were correct, my visions always came true unless I took active steps to prevent them. Even when I tried to prevent the event, I didn’t always succeed.

I saw no reason to prevent this outcome. I had always hoped to be invited to Akademi. Those men seemed to be interested in protecting Megami, not in harming me.

I received my invitation to Akademi a week after my premonition.

I could have refused. It would have been stupid to do so. Akademi offered free tuition and promised extensive financial rewards if I completed their curricula. Its instructors were renowned. Many of the most gifted and wealthiest 18-20 year old students in Japan would be there.

I immediately accepted. This was the kind of opportunity that would change my life forever. I wanted to eventually gain worldly power. Akademi was my best available option to help me gain that.

It did change my life, but not in the way I’d expected.

My first days at Akademi were even better than I had expected. Akademi’s endless funding from Saikou Corporation made it a unique school.

Some aspects of Akademi reminded me of high school. It had one main building, with set class time periods in the morning and early afternoon. We, the students, had to clean up the building each afternoon. I didn’t mind. What Akademi offered was unbeatable.

For one thing, I was getting to know some amazing people. The teachers were some of the best in the country, lured by great pay. Some students had gifts that were intriguing and obvious. One girl could craft extraordinary robots.

I was probably one of the least interesting students in the school. I was completely average in every class. I had no externally-obvious gift. When I was little this would have made me feel like an impostor. I didn’t feel that way, because I knew I had a secret supernatural gift. The vision from my foresight had even revealed to me that every student here had a special gift. Instead of feeling out of place, I played detective and tried to identify the other students’ gifts.

The various clubs presented eye-popping opportunities. Akademi’s resources were essentially unlimited. If you wanted specialized scientific equipment, and you could justify it, it would appear the next day. Rare materials and proprietary data flew into the building on request. World-renowned experts and famous pop stars would visit to talk to one club or another. The cream of society’s young adults were being rapidly prepared and joined together. Whoever eventually swayed these students would rule the world.

I was also enjoying the view. The Akademi uniform required all girls to wear short miniskirts every day. The standard Akademi girls’ uniform was a short navy blue miniskirt paired with a white and navy blue sailor uniform shirt, a red mini scarf, and black shoes. Every male was grateful for the decision to require short miniskirts. Many of the girls seemed to quietly enjoy the male gaze that their outfits encouraged. Other girls didn’t prefer the miniskirts, but it was not their choice to make. The school had many stairwells, each offering opportunities for glimpses of panties. Such views revealed that several daring girls wore G-strings instead of panties under their miniskirts at school. None of the class desks had modesty boards, a decision I heartily approved of. There was a vibrant black market for panty shots. Being surrounded by pretty girls about my age, all wearing short miniskirts, meant I was often hard.

I had done my best to fit in. I enjoy nature and reading, but I didn’t want to be friendless. I’d only known some of the students before school had started. That had concerned me at first. I needn’t have worried. I try to be friendly. Many of the other students reciprocated my friendliness. I had accumulated many casual friends at Akademi.

When I’d learned that my childhood friend Osana was also going to Akademi, I’d thought she would help me maneuver my new social life. It hadn’t worked out that way. Osana had become incredibly whiny. I was annoyed by her continuous bad attitude. I found I wanted to limit my time with her. I was curious what her power was. My curiosity was getting overwhelmed by a desire to avoid her and her terrible behavior.

Earlier in the day I’d accidentally knocked down a girl in the hallway. She was only about 165cm and 40kg, so when I bumped into her, I completely bowled her over. Her butt had hit hard on the floor. I’d felt bad about that. She had even unintentionally fully flashed her panties at me when she fell. I’d enjoyed the view, but I really hadn’t meant to do that. Once she was on the ground I took note of her appearance. She had pale skin and dark gray eyes. Her straight, mid-back length black hair was tied up in a high pony tail. She had typically-sized breasts. I helped her up and I profusely apologized. She didn’t say anything, but she gave me a wistful smile. Once I was sure she didn’t seem mad at me, I apologized again and moved on. I resolved to do a better job of watching where I was going. I was glad she seemed to have no hard feelings for me because of this accident.

I laid down on my bed to take a brief nap before studying. I closed my eyes. My foresight kicked in again. It was the most intense vision I’d ever experienced.

In my vision, I saw myself in a house basement. I didn’t recognize the location. My wrists were handcuffed to a metal chair’s arms. My ankles were handcuffed to the same chair’s front legs. The chair, in turn, was bolted to the cement floor. I was wearing nothing but my underwear. An IV drip was putting something purple into my arm through a plastic tube. Further away from me I saw stairs going up and a girl in the Akademi uniform.

This wasn’t any girl. This was the same girl I’d bumped into earlier today. Had I offended her so much by accidentally knocking her down? That made no sense to me. I didn’t think I’d hurt her that badly. Yet someone had recently made a decision directly about me that would eventually lead to this scary scene.

She said in my vision, “I’m glad you’re awake.”

“What’s going on?,” my vision-self said groggily.

“It’s time for you to make a choice,” she said. “You can choose to be with me forever. I’ll dote on you. I’ll treat you well. As long as we are each others’, you’ll have a good life. If you choose anything else, I’ll keep dosing you with drugs until you agree. It won’t take too long to break your mind. I don’t want to do it, but I will. I’ll also keep killing everyone who wants you if you ever revert.”

“Um… wait. Keep killing?”

“Yes. Every time you started getting close to a girl, I made sure she didn’t live to tell the tale. Osana, Amai, Kizana, Oka, and all the rest. Every one died at my hands. It felt so good when I ensured each of them would never be able to steal you from me. You’ll never be able to prove that I killed them. You’ll never be able to stop me from doing it again.”

“Oh, my god,” my vision-self said, “why would you do this?”

“All my life I’ve felt desperately unfulfilled. I’ve felt a crushing emptiness all the time. I’ve never had a moment’s peace from it. When you bumped into me, it was like feeling warmth for the first time. I felt an overwhelming euphoria. I realized I needed you so I could feel alive. You are who I’ve been waiting for. No one else will do. When I learned that other girls had feelings for you, I was terrified that they might tear you away from me. Luckily for me, I can kill without remorse. I’m good at killing, too. Now those who once pursued you are gone forever. The same will happen to any others who try to take you from me. You won’t like what I’ll put next in the IV drip, either. It’s time for you to choose me.”

Her eyes radiated a psychotic level of need.

My vision ended. My fear did not. This vision would happen to me if I didn’t do something. Someone had made a decision directly about me that would directly affect me. It was probably a recent decision. Almost certainly the girl in my vision was the one who had made that decision. That decision, whatever it was, would lead to the horrific event I’d seen unless I did something. I needed to immediately make decisions of my own.

I quickly found the girl in our school directory. I learned that her name was Ayano Aishi. People called her Yan-chan. I’d heard her name before. My earlier vision had identified her as the intelligent and heartless girl who would probably become the world’s greatest assassin. This was not good. This was not good at all. At least I better understood the situation. She was a cold-blooded killer who would stop at nothing to achieve her goals. Unfortunately, it appeared that I was her goal.

I needed to do everything I could to try to prevent this event from occurring. I also needed to prevent the deaths she’d mentioned. I didn’t know how long I had. Osana had become annoying recently, but she was still my childhood friend. I didn’t want her to die. I didn’t know the other girls Ayano had listed in my vision, but I didn’t want them to die on my account. Ayano in my vision hadn’t even given a full list. I didn’t want to see who else would die.

No one had told me of others’ powers, so Ayano probably didn’t know about my powers either. It appeared that what Ayano wanted was me. Her desires were twisted, but she wanted some kind of relationship with me. I could do some research to learn more about her without her knowledge.

I needed to apply my advantages to quickly turn the tables. Ayano was playing for keeps. So was I.
