Chapter 7 of 23
She stayed like that for a long time, the water streaming down her back, until the heat began to fade and a chill set in. She had to get out. Richard was waiting. His surprise was waiting.
She turned off the water and stepped out, grabbing a thick, fluffy towel. She dried herself methodically, her movements slow and heavy. She avoided looking at her reflection. She couldn't bear to see the pathetic, desperate creature she had become. She brushed her teeth, the minty paste a sharp, clean taste that did little to wash away the lingering memory of Akiko on her tongue.
She walked back into the bedroom, a towel wrapped around her body, her hair still damp. Richard was sitting on the edge of the bed, waiting for her. He had changed out of his work clothes and was now wearing a dark silk robe. He looked relaxed, powerful. He patted the space beside her.
"Come here," he said softly.
She walked to the bed and sat beside him, keeping a careful distance. He reached out and took her chin in his hand, turning her face to his. His eyes searched hers, and she felt as if he could see every sordid, shameful thought she had just had in the shower.
"You've had a difficult weekend," he said, his thumb stroking her jawline. "But you did well. You made me proud."
"Thank you, Sir," she whispered, the words feeling inadequate.
"Which is why you deserve a reward," he continued. He stood up and walked over to the bedroom door, opening it. "You can come in now," he said.
Victoria's blood ran cold. Someone else was here. Her eyes were fixed on the doorway, her heart pounding with dread. It couldn't be. It wouldn't be.
But it was.
Akiko Tanaka walked into the room. She was no longer in her severe business suit. She was wearing a simple, elegant black silk robe, identical in style to Richard's. Her hair was down, falling in a sleek, dark cascade around her shoulders. A thin chain hung around her neck, upon which hung an ornate key. She looked relaxed, confident, and completely at home. She walked over to Richard and, to Victoria's utter horror, slipped her arm around his waist, leaning into him as if she belonged there. Richard's arm went around her shoulders, pulling her close. They looked like a couple. A perfect, united pair.
Victoria stared, her mind refusing to process the scene in front of her. The weekend, the punishment, the intimacy... it all suddenly clicked into place with the sickening clarity of a car crash.
"Akiko is my new partner, Victoria," Richard said, his voice calm and reasonable, as if he were discussing a business merger. "In every sense of the word. And she is your new Mistress. You will obey her as you obey me. Is that understood?"
Victoria could only nod, her throat too tight to form words.
"Excellent," Akiko said, her voice smooth as silk. "Now, let us show you to your new room."
They led her out of the master bedroom, the room she had shared with Richard, and down the hall to a small, unused guest room at the far end of the corridor. Victoria had always used it for storage. Now, it was to be her cell.
The room was stark and functional. The double bed and plush furnishings were gone. In its place was a narrow, single bed with a thin, lumpy mattress. At each corner of the metal bedframe, a pair of gleaming steel handcuffs was bolted to the frame. The only bedding was a single, coarse grey blanket. Against one wall was a small, cheap wardrobe. Richard opened its doors. Inside, Victoria's worst fears were realized. The shelves were filled with an array of cheap, tawdry, and humiliating clothing. There were tiny micro-skirts, crop tops that would barely cover her breasts, dresses made of shiny, stretchy lycra, and an assortment of lingerie in garish colors and cheap lace. The bottom of the wardrobe was filled with boxes of shoes, all of them with impossibly high, spindly heels or trashy platforms. On a shelf above the clothing was a collection of cheap, gaudy makeup—bright blue eyeshadow, glittery lip gloss, thick black eyeliner.
But it was the item hanging on a hanger on the back of the door that made Victoria's stomach clench with a new kind of dread. It was a full outfit made of black rubber. A tight, glossy corset, a pair of high-waisted rubber stockings, and a pair of thigh-high boots with heels so sharp and high they looked like weapons. The material gleamed under the room’s stark light, looking both slick and suffocating.
"This is your new in-house uniform," Akiko explained, her voice dripping with condescending amusement. "Whenever you are in this house, you will change into it. You will not wear your own clothes. You will not wear your own skin. You will wear this. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Mistress," Victoria whispered, her eyes fixed on the monstrous outfit.
"Good," Richard said. "Because you'll be wearing it now. Get dressed."
With trembling fingers, Victoria took the rubber uniform from its hanger. The material was cold, clammy, and unnervingly heavy. It was a struggle to pull it on. The rubber clung to her skin, resisting, a second, suffocating skin. The corset was the worst part; her waist was cinched into an unnatural, hourglass shape. The stockings were slick and difficult to manage, and the boots were a nightmare of balance, forcing her to stand on the very tips of her toes, her calves screaming in protest. When she was finally dressed, she could barely move, could barely breathe. She felt less like a person and more like a doll, a shiny, black object designed for someone else's pleasure.
"Now," Richard said, his eyes roaming over her with a predatory gleam. "We would like some drinks. Akiko will have a gin and tonic. I will have a whisky. You will serve them to us in the master bedroom."
Victoria nodded, her movements stiff and awkward in the crippling heels. She minced her way to the kitchen, her body a prisoner of the rubber. She prepared the drinks with a strange sense of detachment, her hands moving automatically. She placed them on a small silver tray and carried them carefully back to the master bedroom.
The sight that met her when she entered made her heart seize in her chest. Richard and Akiko were on the bed. What used to be her bed. They were kissing, a deep, passionate kiss that spoke of a long, familiar intimacy. Richard's hand was on Akiko's thigh, his fingers tracing the silk of her robe.
"Put the tray on the dresser," Akiko commanded without breaking the kiss. "Then stand in the corner. Face the wall. And do not move."
Victoria did as she was told, placing the tray down and walking to the corner of the room. She stood there, a shiny, black statue of submission, as she had been told. She could hear them behind her. The soft rustle of silk, the low murmur of their voices, the sound of their kissing. It was a symphony of her own humiliation, a constant, torturous reminder of everything she had lost and the new, terrible reality she now inhabited. She stood there for what felt like an eternity, her body aching, her mind a blank, numb space, just a piece of furniture in the room where she had once been a wife.
After a long while, she heard Akiko's voice, close behind her. "Turn around."
Victoria turned, her movements clumsy. Akiko was standing in front of her, a black mask in her hand. It was made of hard black leather, from where the mouth should be, a small leather cock protruded, designed to fit the mouth of the wearer, to silence them. Akikoo pushed it into Victoria’s mouth and pushed the mask against her face. The underside of the nose was open so the wearer could breathe. Akiko buckled it tight with two straps around the back of her head. Akiko stood back to look. The sight was wonderful. A featureless black face looked back at her. Shiny black leather turning Victoria into an object, no longer a person.
"A good slave should only see what she is permitted to see," Akiko said softly. The effect on Victoria was disorienting and terrifying.
"Stand still," Akiko commanded.
Victoria stood there, blind and helpless, her senses straining. She could hear them moving around the room. She heard the clink of ice in a glass. She heard Richard chuckle. Then, she heard a sound that confused her. A soft, wet sound. A muffled gasp. It wasn't a sound of pleasure. It was a sound of... surrender.
She felt a shift in the room's energy, a subtle but profound change. The dynamic was shifting. The air grew thick with a new kind of tension. She felt a presence in front of her, a warmth that she knew was Richard's. She could smell his familiar scent, his cologne. She braced herself, expecting his touch, his command.
But the touch that came was not his. It was Akiko's. Her hands, cool and firm, were on Richard's chest. Victoria could hear her voice, a low, dominant murmur that she couldn't quite make out. Then she heard Richard's response, a soft, submissive "Yes, Mistress."
Victoria's blood ran cold. She stood there, masked and helpless, and listened as the world she thought she understood was completely and utterly dismantled. She listened as Akiko, her supposed Mistress, silently and expertly took control of her husband, her Master. The roles were shifting, the power dynamics realigning in a way she could never have predicted. She was no longer just a slave to a couple. She was a witness to a deeper, more complex hierarchy, a pawn in a game she was only just beginning to understand. And in the frightening, all-consuming darkness, she realized her own position was even more precarious than she had ever imagined.
