Chapter 2 of 13
We ate in the hotel restaurant. Good quality but unremarkable. After, we took a walk to the marina and the beach, which were close by. Considering how close we were to some very touristy places and the warm late summer weather, it was blissfully quiet.
We looked at the boats, then hand in hand walked along the path, intending to walk aback along the beach. We spotted an outdoor sauna there, which I thought might be a lovely thing to do later in the weekend, I’d never seen anything like that before. Paul looked it up on his phone and we booked for tomorrow on the spot!
The beach wasn’t completely deserted, there were a few families also out after dinner, and one blonde woman walking barefoot through the retreating waves, carrying her shoes in one hand. I noticed my husband's gaze linger in her direction.
I let my gaze follow, appreciating the view; the sun was starting to set, and the blonde woman’s lithe silhouette was perfectly outlined in the lengthening shadow.
I smiled at the woman as we walked past her, she smiled back though my husband was also smiling so I wasn’t sure which one of us she was smiling at.
We headed back towards the hotel but saw a decent looking pub with and decided to go for a drink. It was pretty busy but there were a couple of free tables outside, so we got our drinks and sat down to enjoy the view of the harbour. It would have been nice to watch the sun set over the sea but we weren’t facing in the right direction. My wine was delicious and I drank it far too fast, so sent husband off to the bar to get me another one. It was fairly quiet inside but I thought he’d been quite a while by the time he came back with our next round of drinks.
“Sorry, I got talking to someone at the bar.” He put the drinks down, then sat.
“Oh, who?” I asked.
“You know that girl was saw on the beach? The one walking in the waves?”
“Oh, ok. What did you talk about?”
“Nothing much, ” said a new, feminine voice “I was just saying that it was nice to see a couple enjoying themselves on the beach, usually it's just families, nice to know there’s a bit of romance here too.”
I smiled and said we didn’t get much opportunity but we were making the most of this one.
“Actually, do you mind if I join you” the woman said, “I was about to sit over there but someone else just sat down, and you two seem very nice.”
I was inwardly amused that she had commented on how romantic we were as a couple and then invited herself to join us, but she also seemed nice so I didn’t say anything.
“Sure, take a seat” I said.
She smiled and sat down next to me. “Thank you so much. I’m CJ.”
“Ohh, like from Baywatch?” Paul grinned, “I’m Paul and this is Sarah. We’re only here for the weekend but it seems like a lovely little town. Do you live here?”
“Oh, I’m not far away” she replied, “a couple of miles down the coast, It’s a nice walk up here. Where are you from?”
We got talking and it wasn’t long before we needed more drinks. I was feeling pretty tipsy by now but I was enjoying CJ’s company and despite this being supposedly a weekend for Paul and I, I was getting a little turned on by her. Paul was trying to join in, but she seemed more focused on me. I didn’t want him to feel left out so I sent him to the bar to get another round of drinks while I asked CJ if she could try to keep him in the conversation because we’d had some issues and this weekend was supposed to be us getting more intimate again.
She asked what sort of issues, which I thought was a bit much considering we’d only met her an hour ago, but the wine had loosened by tongue as it usually does, and I gave a vague explanation that I’d been having naughty fun without him and was trying to make it up to him.
“Make it up to him how?” she asked, I had her full attention.
“Well, basically try to be intimate with him and make sure the focus is on his enjoyment, I’m often a bit...selfish” I couldn’t believe I was saying this to a woman I ‘d only just met, but I was relaxed and she made me feel like I could tell her anything. The familiar tingling between my legs was there too, my mind started to drift a little.
“Ok,” said Paul, returning with the drinks and breaking me out of my nascent daydream. “Aperol spritz for CJ, Wine for Sarah and rum for me!” He grinned, he was half cut by now too and had obviously decided to switch from beer. He’d probably regret it in the morning, but all the sugar would liven him up.
“What were you girls talking about while I was at the bar?”
I was about to answer when CJ got in there first “You, Paul. Sarah was telling me how much she’s looking forward to spending time with you this weekend.”
“Oh my god you should see the hotel room she booked” Paul replied, “It’s incredible, basically a suite with a bath in the bedroom right next to the balcony, it must have cost a fortune!”
“Ohh, you’re staying at the spa hotel right? I know it well. I’ve never been in one of the suites though, I’d love to see it!”
“Well maybe you can” Said Paul “There’s plenty of room”. He said this with a sly grin on his face, looking pointedly at me. “maybe we can meet for lunch tomorrow?”
What was he doing? This was supposed to be just the two of us. I was annoyed now, but knew it was just the alcohol, in both of us, and this was how our squabbles often started. Besides, the tingle was turning into an ache and I wanted him when we got back, I wasn’t going to spoil it because he’d invited someone to lunch!
Instead I reminded him we’d booked the sauna for 11am and didn’t know how long we’d be so why didn’t we see how things went but maybe Sunday lunch would be nice?
CJ said that sounded great, and tension between me and Paul diffused, we kept chatting. She asked Paul a lot of questions about him, while I stayed nearly silent and listened to them speak. I was zoning out again, the ache between my legs distracting me and I knew I was wet, which made me eager to get back to our room. But Paul was having a nice time and this was meant to be about us enjoying each others company so I joined in the conversation once more, trying to find out more about CJ.
She wasn’t born in the area but travelled around the country for years, enjoying herself before settling here. She confessed she was a bit wild and had some trouble settling down when she got married, which ended up in a divorce. She’d been much better behaved the last few years, focusing on her business, but could never quite quell the itch, which I absolutely understood. Paul was nodding along to the conversation again but not really taking part, he was sat opposite CJ and I could see he was looking at her, trying to do it subtly, but his eyes were towards her, but not towards her face.
My irritation started to rise again, he was supposed to be with me for the weekend, but he’d chatted to this girl at the bar, she’d invited herself over and now he was staring at her tits! I felt my face flush with anger. But was it anger? That ache between my legs was getting stronger.
“CJ I think it's your round” I said, trying not to let my emotions show in my voice. “Can I have another glass of wine please?”
She looked a little surprised, but agreed that it was, checked what Paul wanted and then headed inside to the bar.”
“Paul you’re staring at her tits, and it's obvious, what are you doing?”
He looked cross for a moment. Then he took a breath, leaned forward and said very quietly “you said you wouldn’t mind if I slept with someone else...all I’m doing is looking at her... she’s so different to you, I don’t often speak to other women and I like speaking to her”
I was shocked. He’d never shown interest in another woman before, of if he had he’d kept it entirely to himself. I had said I didn’t mind if he slept with another woman, fair was far, after everything I had done, but I hadn’t expected he’d actually do anything and here he was practically telling me he wanted to fuck her. My anger had turned into something else, something that made my alcohol-hazed head spin, and I knew I was blushing.
“It’s turning you on, isn’t it?” He looked at me quizzically, I think he’d been gearing up for a fight, “You get that look on your face after you’ve been talking to your women online.”
Holy shitting fuck. I thought I’d been discrete in a ‘don’t ask don’t tell’ kind of way all this time and he’s known all along. Fuck it. I took a breath.
“Yes” I looked at him, making eye contact briefly before looking away. I realised I was squeezing my crossed legs together, that ache was turning into a serious itch. “It’s turning me on.”
At that moment CJ returned, which was almost a relief as it meant I didn’t have to continue this conversation with Paul but also it was CJ, the subject of my husband's apparent newfound desire.
“Is everything ok? You guys looked like you were having a conversation, I hope I’m not interrupting?”
“No no, don’t worry, Sarah was just saying she’s probably had enough to drink already, but I’m sure she can manage this one too, can’t you love?
I looked up at CJ, smiled and said it was fine, I was just tired, and thanked her for the drink. She sat next to me and lightly put her hand on my leg, which made me jump and sent an electric pulse straight to my cunt, “Been a long day huh?”
“It’s been a long week!”.
CJ removed her hand and picked up her drink as I tried to bury my reaction by looking straight into my glass and taking a mouthful. Paul was laughing. The bastard.
“What’s so funny Paul?” CJ was smiling now, but like she wasn’t quite in on the joke.
“I think my wife is a bit overstimulated at the moment, she probably needs to relax a bit, don’t you dear?”
We only ever called each other ‘dear’ if we were taking the piss, and only ever in private.
But we weren’t in private and he was grinning evilly at this point, enjoying himself because he’d caught me out, gaining implicit permission in the process to flirt with this woman if he wanted to, knowing the whole thing was turning me on.
I am rarely lost for words. “I..I’m ok, just tired and...” I didn’t get to finish the sentence.
“So why don’t we do lunch tomorrow anyway?” Said Paul, deliberately contradicting what I had decided earlier. “We do have to go soon, I know what she’s like, she’ll be asleep in her drink if I don’t get her moving soon.” The bastard. I’m the insomniac, I’m always awake longer than him even if we’ve been drinking. He was taking full advantage of the situation and making me look silly, which frankly was just turning me on more.
“That would be lovely! They’re like hour long sessions at the sauna aren’t they? Shall I meet you at the hotel at 12.30?”
“Shall we say 1pm? That’s enough time for us to get showered and dressed after.” Said Paul. “Unless you want join us..?” The bastard.
“You’re drunk Paul” CJ giggled. “That would be a bit weird I think but thank you for the offer. I’ll see you for lunch.”
My mind was racing. I was appalled he’d even suggested such a thing but I was dripping wet and I needed to get somewhere I could do something about it.
“Lets go Paul, I’m so sleepy” I exaggerated the sleepiness in my voice and added a yawn for good measure. I was not remotely sleepy, I was so turned on it was making me fizz with energy.
“How are you getting back CJ? It's a bit far to walk now isn’t it?” Paul asked her.
“Oh, I’ll get a cab, there’s plenty around” She made a phone call. “Five minutes”
We chatted a bit more, well, CJ and Paul did, I was uncharacteristically quiet for some reason.
The taxi arrived so the three of us finished our drinks and then got up from the bench. I wobbled and CJ grabbed my arm to support me, laughing as she did so. Again, her touch was like an electric shock running straight between my legs.
Once I was steady, she turned and gave me a hug “It's so nice to meet some fun people here Sarah, it doesn’t happen too often, thank you for a lovely evening. She kissed me on the cheek and my brain practically melted. “See you tomorrow”
She gave Paul a hug too, kissing him on the cheek and I swear they lingered in their hug but I couldn’t see properly from where I was standing. I was probably imagining it.
CJ got in the back of the cab, we waved goodbye to her and started the short walk to our hotel. “Your nipples are like bullets Sarah, you really enjoyed that didn’t you?” Paul said with a grin on his face. I hadn’t even noticed! They were poking through my dress, impossible to ignore. I blushed even more.
“Can we just get back, please? I’ve got something I need to do.” I said it rather sternly, then walked off, a smile on my face. Time to take back the initiative. He followed, taking a few seconds to catch up.
We walked into the hotel holding hands, smiled at the receptionist who wished us a good night as we went past, and headed up to our room.
