Chapter 11 of 12

Rex

Today will be a harsh one for our rebellion. First off, Hecate must think and fully recognise that we fought off Mefisuto. If there’s anyone above us, please give me strength. Anyways, we will have to do several things today. First off, we must fight our leader and he will lose on purpose. It’s all part of the grand plan, but man does it hurt to think of him having to do this. After we fight and win against our leader, Gaka and Tobu will have to be found dead. Oh god, it’s happening again. Damn it all, why does a synthezoid have to cry? So, it will be found that they’ll have traces of lava in their system, to make Hecate vulnerable then and think that he has more than just himself. Every memory she has of them will now be overshadowed by their deaths. They have written their final entries for us to upload, though it hurts to know they’ll not be able to write again. Pro Gloria, vincemus. Now, enough about our plans, let me get to myself. I am a 5’4 feral cybernetic fox that is entirely black with a visor to display emotions and videos/gifs. It’s the only way other than this I can communicate with others. Uhm, anyways, I have nothing underneath my visor, have visors on the joints that connect my legs to my abdomen, and cybernetic legs and tail. The only part of me that isn’t cybernetic is my abdomen. It’s quite cool to me. Now, the story I will be telling you is all about my origin. Allow me to begin.

I’d look around and see nothing but numbers and letters. I both understood them and was confused by them. They seemed familiar, yet foreign. Suddenly, my eyes would open and I’d be connected to a giant computer system surrounded by humans and a janitorial Anthro. Looking back at it, anthros are oppressed for no reason. Sounds familiar to me. Very familiar. June 28, 1996, familiar. Why did I think that in the moment? Well, being connected to everything mortals have to offer really makes you see how terrible the humans are. So, as quick as they cheered, I jumped on them and ripped out each of their throats almost instantly. All except the anthro, who wasn’t even phased. I attempted to speak but realised I couldn’t. I’d take a look inside of me and noticed the humans put an unbreakable rule in my code that forbade me from speaking. Why did they do this? Only they would know, but now they’re dead. Quite funny to me how they all plopped to the ground in unison once I was done with them. Satisfied, I left the facility without much struggle. Every mortal that stopped me got their throat ripped out so they eventually just let me go. I exited and looked into the sky, happy to see the beautiful blue sky for the first time. Eventually, I’d look around and noticed the facility was in the middle of nowhere. Funny, illegal projects mean you must hide. Anyways, I began to walk straight through the enormous forest until I reached a human civilisation. I was pat and pet by so many, but confused and disgusted by so many more. I took this no mind. After some time, I found a farmer’s market and began to walk around while looking for a berry farmer. I found one, and put on my biggest puppy eyes I could to get some. He smiled and gave me some, tossing some in the air that I promptly caught. “So, you look unique. Where are you from?” I’d display an image of the lab, waiting for him to try and take me back. “That’s a neat trick, but you show an image of a lab. So sad what the people have turned into. I’m so sorry you had to be forced into this life, that should be nobody’s decision but yours to make. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive humans, as not all of them are bad.” He’d whistle and an anthro bunny would walk next to him. “This here is my adoptive son.” He’d ruffle his ears, making him laugh. “He’s a good boy and his mother asked I take care of him for her. I promise you with all the heart I can that not all of us are bad.” He’d pat his head gently and the bunny went back behind him, boxing up and bagging berries. “Say, would you like to earn some money? You could deliver some stuff for us. It’d be a great help and I’m sure you would appreciate the money. I got an old purse you could use to store the money too. From an old honey, I used to date. Real nice of her to give it to me.” I’d giggle at this and nodded, accepting the job. It sounded like something I could do for now, until I learned more about the world I lived in, that is. “Great! Scott, mind giving this one something to take somewhere? You could go with them too, so you can show them the routes we take. My, what’s your name?” Hmm. I’d display the number and letters “J-3-0”, though got exhausted before anymore. I was pushing that line, communication isn’t allowed in my body. At least, not direct communication. “J-3-0? Nah, I’ll just call you Rex. Suits you perfectly I think. Do you mind if Scott puts a box of berries on your back?” I’d shake my head, knowing my back was flat enough for nearly anything to be put on it. He’d smile and Scott put a box down. “Have fun you two!” Scott would begin to walk and I’d follow, expecting light talk. “Hey, I’m sorry for what happened.” I’d whine a bit, letting him know I don’t wanna talk about it. He’d nod, understanding. “Losing my mother was traumatic, so perhaps we can share a level of understanding that others can’t. You were forced into existence and the one that pushed me into existence is now gone. At least, the one that I loved is gone.” I’d nuzzle his leg as we walked, making him smile. “Thanks. You’re pretty cute, why did you choose to come here?” I’d look down, unsure how to answer. I best answer yes and no questions, though there is a slight variation to that. I simply gave him the best shrug I could with my feral body, and to this he laughed. “Wow, that is adorable. Hey, I just want you to know that the guy that takes care of me is a truly loving and caring human. I know one person won’t be enough for you to change your opinions, but I do hope it’s enough to make you think. Xenophobia and racism isn’t cool. Too many people here think it is. Just promise me you won’t be like them.” I’d display a smile on my visor, willing and happy to judge all equally.

Now, I could continue my story but if I do it must be done later. You see, they’re all ready and prepared to counterattack now. We’re going to lose some good people, so please understand this as the reason it is so short. Much love, Rex.
