Outward Bound

He was pulled to his feet and the boy untied. The man gave the “boy” some money and he put his coat on and left. ‘Geoffrey was well rewarded for that and the damage will heal in time. As you noticed he easily passes for a 10 year old, even though he is much older, not that anyone seeing the video will know that!’

‘Now you know we have even more evidence should you decide to do something stupid.’ Simon shook his head and said he wouldn’t. ‘That’s good to know’.

‘We could just leave you to your weekend safe in the knowledge that you have learnt your lesson; but where is the fun in that?’

He picked up Simon’s new phone and used Simon’s thumb to unlock it; ‘who would you call if you were in trouble?’ he asked and Simon tried to think and eventually said; ‘Fiona’. Who is she?’ ‘She is a nurse at the local hospital and she lives just down the road.’

‘Is she your girl friend?’ Simon coloured and said nothing

‘Fiona it is then.’ ‘Leave her out of this!’ Simon cried and the man laughed; ‘we will not do anything to her. You just better hope she comes to your rescue!’

The men pushed Simon onto his bed and tied his ankles to the legs at the foot using the two lengths of rope that had recently secured his “victim”.

A pair of metal handcuffs secured his left wrist to the headboard leaving his right wrist free, but not for long. Another set of handcuffs, this time with a bulky white box in the middle secured that wrist to the other end of the headboard.

‘Your only way out is when the timer release on that pair of cuffs releases the lock’, the man said and then chuckled; ‘the thing is that, sadly for you, the battery is flat!’

‘If you’re lucky, we will call Fiona from your phone and you have to hope she will come running! If not you will spend a long time in bed!’
