Chapter 19 of 22
The summons came as a text on the burner phone, but the language was different. It wasn't a command. It was an invitation. "Dinner at the estate. 8 p.m. Dress to impress. - H." The "H" was for Helen. It was a summons, yes, but it was also a test, and Katherine understood that the way she arrived would be the answer.
She didn't choose a dress. She chose armor. A floor-length column of black silk that clung to her curves without being overtly sexual. It was severe, elegant, and utterly devoid of vulnerability. She left her hair down, a dark, silken cascade over her shoulders, a stark contrast to the severe, pulled-back styles she usually wore. When she looked in the mirror, she didn't see the frightened detective who'd been dragged into this world. She saw a woman who had walked through fire and learned to love the licking of the flames.
The Jameson estate was illuminated, a beacon of raw power. Helen herself answered the door, taking Katherine's coat with a smile that was both welcoming and appraising. "You look... formidable," she said, her voice a low murmur of approval.
The dining room was a masterpiece of dark wood, candlelight, and intimidating art. But tonight's centerpiece was not the long, mahogany table. A hoist had been installed in the center of the room. And from it, Don Jameson was suspended. He was naked, his body hanging limply from a thick chain wrapped around his torso, under his arms. A complex, uncomfortable-looking posture that forced his chest forward and his head to bow. His ankles were shackled to a floor spreader bar, leaving him utterly exposed. His mouth was held open by a sinister-looking O-ring gag, but this one had a hard, prosthetic phallus jutting from its inward-facing side, effectively silencing him and filling his mouth simultaneously. A thick, black dildo, monstrously butt-plug shaped, was wedged deep in his arse, its flared base a dark star against his pale skin. He was a grotesque ornament of total submission.
"Karl is indisposed this evening," Helen explained, leading Katherine to the table set for two. "A business distraction in Amsterdam. A shame. I do so enjoy watching him work." She poured two glasses of deep, crimson wine, her movements fluid and graceful. "But his absence has created an opportunity. For you."
Katherine took the offered glass, the stem cool and smooth in her hand. "An opportunity?"
Helen's gaze drifted to the suspended Don, her expression one of mild, clinical interest. "You see him? The once-mighty Don. The patriarch. He is a resource. A tool. But he is also a lesson. A constant reminder that power is not given; it is taken. And that taking is... exhilarating, isn't it?"
Katherine's eyes flickered to Don's limp form. A thrill, sharp and undeniable, shot through her. It was exhilarating. She remembered the sting of the cane, the sound of his pained whimpers, the intoxicating rush of having absolute control over a man's body and soul. She looked back at Helen and gave a small, sharp nod. "It is."
Helen's smile widened. "I knew you would understand. I see myself in you, Katherine. The same fire, the same capacity for... clarity of thought. Karl is a bull. He charges, and he breaks. It's effective, but it's brutish. You and I... we are surgeons. We understand that you must cut to heal. You must inflict pain to perfect." She swirled the wine in her glass, her gaze holding Katherine's. "I am tired of these games of indirect influence. Karl calls you his pet, Jamie her toy. They are children playing at war. I want you to be my partner."
The word hung in the air, heavy and transformative. Partner. Not a slave, not a toy, but an equal.
"It's called the Gauntlet," Helen continued, gesturing to Don. "It's a simple test of endurance. He's been like that for an hour now. The strain is... considerable. You will go to him. You will touch him. You will whisper in his ear every lie he has ever told, every betrayal he has ever committed against me. You will tell him exactly what is happening to his business, to his family, to his legacy. And while you do," her eyes glinted, "you will make him come. Using only your touch. Not for his pleasure, but for his utter humiliation. To show him that even his body is no longer his own. To show me that your control is absolute."
Katherine set her glass down. The challenge was a key. A key to a new kingdom. She walked towards the suspended man, her stride confident, the silk of her dress whispering against her skin. She stood before him, his eyes wide with a mixture of pain, fear, and a dawning horror as he recognized her.
"Hello, Don," she whispered, her voice soft and venomous. "Remember me? Detective Jones? The good little girl you and your family thought you could use and discard, just like my pathetic father?" She ran a single, sharp nail down his chest, feeling the shudder that wracked his chained body. "See how that worked out?"
Her hand moved lower, her touch a feather-light torment. She began a slow, circling motion around his flaccid cock, her touch clinical at first, then more intimate. She spoke of the Jamesons' new shipping routes, of the police official they now bribe, of her own father's complete and utter submission, her words a steady, poison drip into his ear. He began to stir against her will, his body traitorously responding to her relentless, maddening touch. He writhed, pulling against the chains, a groan of pure despair trapped around the plastic cock in his throat.
"That's it," she cooed, her voice mockingly sweet. "Show me what a broken old pig you really are." Her hand grew firmer, her strokes more insistent, and with a final, convulsive shudder, he spent himself, a pathetic, warm spurt against his own belly.
He hung limply, a thing of pure defeat. Katherine turned back to Helen, who was watching with a look of intense, almost sexual satisfaction. She wiped her hand on a napkin and raised her glass. "Is that what you wanted, partner?"
Helen laughed, a genuine, musical sound. She didn't answer. She simply stood, walked to Katherine, and took her face in her hands. Then she kissed her. It wasn't a kiss of passion or ownership. It was the seal of a pact, a joining of two powerful, predatory minds. It tasted of wine, power, and the beautiful, bitter tang of Don Jameson's complete annihilation. When Helen pulled back, her eyes were burning. "Dinner can wait," she breathed. "Welcome to the family."
