Chapter 4 of 18
As he installed the last camera from the box, placing it strategically in the entryway and putting it online, a text bleeped on his phone. A simple message flashed across the screen: "Good Boy."
He was seething, the words igniting a fresh wave of anger and resentment. The condescending tone of the message gnawed at him, reducing him to a mere pet, obedient and docile. He clenched his jaw, the muscles in his neck tensing with suppressed rage.
A thought occurred to him then, a glimmer of defiance amidst the storm of his emotions: would she let him out of the house? The question hung in the air, a challenge to her control. With a surge of determination, he decided to find out.
"Fuck it," he muttered under his breath, grabbing his jacket and car keys. He stormed out of the house, slamming the door behind him with a force that echoed through the quiet street.
As he drove, the open road offered a brief respite from the suffocating presence of the cameras and the constant surveillance. The wind rushing through the open window felt like a breath of fresh air, a small victory in his quest for freedom. He didn't know where he was going, only that he needed to escape, if only for a moment.
He ended up on Upnor Beach, a few miles away from Chatham. It was always his favorite place to go to unwind. The sound of shale and shingle under his feet always relaxed him, the familiar crunch and slide a soothing balm to his frazzled nerves. The beach, with its views of St. Mary’s Island and the gentle lapping of the water, offered a momentary escape from the chaos of his life.
The tide was in, preventing him from making it all the way to Hoo, so he turned around and made his way back to the Ship Tavern for a bite to eat. The cozy pub, nestled in the heart of the village, was a place he had visited countless times, a sanctuary where he could lose himself in the simple pleasures of good food and drink.
As he walked into the tavern, the warm, inviting atmosphere enveloping him, he felt a sense of normalcy wash over him. The chatter of patrons, the clinking of glasses, and the aroma of hearty meals filled the air, creating a bubble of tranquility that was a welcome contrast to the turmoil he had left behind.
He ordered tea and a plate of fish and chips; the comforting smell of fried food and the cool, refreshing taste of the tea helped calm his racing thoughts. As he sat there, savoring each bite and sip, he allowed himself to forget, if only for a moment, the cameras, the shocks, and the constant surveillance.
As he walked back to his car, his phone beeped with a new message. "Be in your living room in one hour, naked and kneeling in the middle of the room." The words sent a shiver down his spine, a mix of anger and dread coursing through him. "What the fuck," he thought to himself, "This has to stop."
He made up his mind that he was going to the E.R. He wasn't putting up with this anymore. The thought of cock cage being cut off, of him regaining some semblance of control over his own body, fueled his resolve. He knew he had to act, to take back his autonomy and freedom.
With a final glance at the pub, he got into his car, his hands gripping the steering wheel with a mix of determination and apprehension. The drive to the hospital was a blur, his mind racing with thoughts of what he would say, how he would explain his situation. But he knew one thing for certain: he was done being a pawn in Chrissie's game, and he was ready to fight for his freedom, whatever the consequences.
He pulled into the parking lot of Medway Hospital with thirty minutes to spare before his hour was up. The hospital, a beacon of hope, loomed before him, a place where he could break free from Chrissie's control. He parked the car, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and trepidation.
As he was about to step out of the car, a sudden, intense pulse of pain shot through his crotch. He doubled over, his body convulsing as the shock coursed through him. His head hit the steering wheel with a thud, the impact sending a jolt of pain through his skull. Stars danced before his eyes, and for a moment, he saw nothing but darkness.
The pain subsided as quickly as it had come, leaving him panting and disoriented. He leaned back in his seat, his hands trembling as he gripped the steering wheel, trying to regain his composure. Then another wave hit him, this one not quite as strong, but still enough to send a jolt of agony through his body.
A text on his phone: "This is your final warning; any subsequent infraction will be punished with a higher setting. This is not a game. You now have 35 minutes to comply with your original instructions."
Now he was really worried. The realization that he was being tracked was overpowering. The knowledge that she could monitor his every move, that there was no escape from her watchful eye, sent a wave of dread washing over him.
With a heavy sigh, he started the car, his mind racing with the implications of what this all meant for him and his life. The once-familiar streets of Chatham now felt like a prison, each turn and intersection a potential trap in Chrissie's elaborate game.
As he drove, the weight of her demands pressed down on him, a constant, gnawing presence. He knew he had to comply; any further defiance would only bring more pain and humiliation. The thought of kneeling naked in his living room, a spectacle for her cameras, filled him with a mix of shame and resentment.
But beyond the immediate humiliation, he grappled with the broader implications. How long would this go on? Would he ever be free from her control? “One battle at a time,” he told himself.
As he pulled into Gordon Road, a small road built on a hill, cars parked up on the curb on both sides. He had to drive five houses past his to find a space. As he walked up the hill to his house, the finality of his situation settled over him like a shroud. He had 15 minutes to comply, 15 minutes to prepare himself for the next chapter in Chrissie's twisted narrative. With a deep breath, he put the key into the door of his house and stepped in.
The camera blinked as he stripped, threw his clothes into the washing bin, and walked naked back through the kitchen to the living room. He moved the small table to the side and knelt down. He placed his phone on the floor beside him.
At 9:35 p.m., his phone bleeped.
“Good boy. Check-in time will be nine P.M every day. You will be naked and kneeling unless ordered otherwise. Goodnight Micheal
He read the message, then threw his phone across the room in a fit of rage. The device skittered across the floor, coming to a rest against the wall. Then a thought came to him: what if she had no way of contacting him, no way of sending orders? Sure, there would be a bit of pain, but what then? "Fuck you," he shouted, his voice echoing through the house, a defiant cry against the oppression he felt.
He picked up his phone and smashed it against the side of the fireplace, the screen shattering into a web of cracks. He kept hitting it, again and again, until it was in pieces, a symbol of his rebellion against Chrissie's control. The sound of breaking plastic and glass filled the room, a cacophony of destruction that matched the turmoil within him.
He turned to the camera, panting and seething with anger. He gave it the finger, a final act of defiance, a middle finger to the woman who held his life in her hands. He braced himself, prepared for the pain that was about to come, a punishment for his outburst and his destruction of the phone.
As he stood there, naked and defiant, he waited, his body tensing in anticipation of the shock. The camera blinked mockingly, a silent sentinel. He knew that she would punish him, that she would find a way to make him comply, but for now, in this moment, he had asserted his will, his freedom, even if it was just for a fleeting second.
Nothing happened, no shock. The room remained silent; the only sound was his heavy breathing. He took a shower to clear his mind, the hot water cascading over him, a soothing balm to his frayed nerves. As he stepped out, wrapping a towel around his waist, he felt a strange sense of calm wash over him.
He would need a phone for work, a necessity that couldn't be ignored. A burner phone was the answer, a cheap pay-as-you-go phone that would allow him to stay connected without giving Chrissie any leverage. He made a mental note to pick one up on the way to work in the morning, a small act of rebellion that felt like a step towards regaining control.
As he lay in bed, the steady tick of the Big Ben alarm clock he had to dig out of a cupboard. He had forgotten how relaxing that steady tick was. He yawned, his eyelids growing heavy. The question lingered in his mind: Had he won? Was it as simple as that? The absence of a shock, the silence from Chrissie, could it mean that he had finally broken free from her control?
He drifted off to sleep, the possibilities swirling in his dreams, a mix of hope and uncertainty. For now, he allowed himself to believe that he had taken a significant step towards freedom, that the battle was won.
