Chapter 1 of 18
Stalked (Chapter One)
October 7 2012 Sunday /London UK
Gym
Zac Poole went ahead and started his nighttime Sunday gym routine. Earlier his day was spent working on his doctoral thesis on physics, lunch with his girlfriend Angie and back to his thesis and calls to his parents. Zac entered the gym and made his way to the weights and got himself positioned to lift some dumbbells..but little did he know someone was watching him intensely.
Stalker
“I can’t stop thinking about my last pet..it was perfect just like the last three and I honestly thought it’d be a forever companion but in the last year of the seven years I owned it, it became self aware again..undoing all of my training and no matter how hard I disciplined and reinforced its duty to me, it wasn’t taking heed. I knew deep down a few months wasn’t gonna fix it but a year maybe, so I decided to spare it more pain and gave it protein shake with enough potent sleeping pills to kill 10 men. It happily slurped the substance out of its bowl and after two hours..it was gone.”
Finishing Up
Zac finished up his workout an hour later and headed to the showers. Once done he sat on one of the benches in the locker room and checked his phone, Angie texted him letting him know she had left him a meal at his place and she’d see him tomorrow. And voicemail from his mom reminding him to pick up flowers for a family gathering next week. The rest of the messages were school related.
Outside
I watched Zac leave the gym, his toned body making gentle strides to his apartment. His routine was well known to me by now, six months of being in the background as nobody helped me gather that he was family and friend oriented, which meant if he went missing they’d look for him till the ends of the Earth. Which meant I need to make sure the Met police didn’t have any clues as to who took him, because I knew a thorough investigation would be carried out. So for six months I made myself aware of every camera in his vicinity and by now I figured out his apartment wasn’t as watched especially near the garage bins where he dumped his trash every night on Sundays after the gym. That’s where I planned to strike tonight. As he slowly disappeared in the darkness, I was salivating that he wasn’t gonna be a free person in a couple of hours and he’d be mines.
