Chapter 1

I woke to a dull hum of voices, barely audible over the faint scent of coffee that lingered in the air. My body was a battlefield—every muscle screamed in protest, every joint ached with a dull, persistent throb. My skin was damp with sweat, the sheets clinging to my body, and as I shifted, a sharp pain shot through my thighs, sending a wave of nausea crashing over me. Welts. I winced, groaning, eyelids heavy, but before I could process it, the memories came rushing in like a tidal wave, too vivid to ignore.

Flashes, fragmented but intense, tore through my mind: the final humiliations of the ceremony. The burning alcohol bath Mistress Danielle had poured over my raw, whipped skin—her laughter ringing in my ears as I writhed in agony. The public urination. Forced to squat over a bucket in front of the crowd, bladder full from the endless drinking they’d made me do, while jeers filled the room. Someone had mocked me: "Honking your horn again, bitch?" The shame of it still clung to me, a heat far worse than any lash.

I forced my eyes open, blinking against the soft morning light seeping through the curtains. Sandra sat perched on the edge of the bed, her blue collar glinting under the dim light, the same as mine. Mimi stood near, adjusting a tray of water and what looked like painkillers. Both wore simple white shirts—the standard uniform of the Society, I supposed—and looked far more composed than I felt.

"Easy, Patricia," Sandra said, her voice a calming presence. She brushed a hand gently over my forehead. "You've been out for hours. How do you feel?"

"Like I was hit by a truck. Twice," I muttered, my voice rough and hoarse. I tried to sit up, but a sharp pull from my bruised ribs made me wince. Marks from the restraints still marked my arms, and I could feel the tender pain between my legs without needing to look. Sandra propped me up with pillows, and Mimi handed me a glass of water.

"We’ve been here all night," Mimi added softly. "Master Carl arranged it. You’re on rest period now—no duties, just recovery."

I nodded weakly, sipping the water. It soothed my parched throat, but the deeper aches, the ones I didn’t know how to put into words, remained. Inside, I felt torn—part of me questioned what I had done, the pain a constant reminder of the price I’d paid. But there was another part of me, darker and more insistent, that whispered: You survived. This pain is proof of your submission. Proof of your place in the Society.

Was this integration, or was I already unraveling?

The door creaked open, and a man in a crisp white coat entered—the doctor, the same one who’d done my initial exam. He carried a black bag, his professional smile hardly reaching his eyes. "Good morning, Patricia. Let’s see how you’re holding up."

His examination was methodical, clinical even. He checked the welts on my back and thighs, the bruises on my breasts, and the rawness between my legs. Each touch sent a jolt of pain through me, but he was efficient, never lingering longer than necessary. After a few minutes, he nodded. "No permanent damage. Deep bruising, minor abrasions, but nothing that won’t heal. You’ll need at least three weeks of rest—no sexual use, no heavy activity. I’ll prescribe painkillers, anti-inflammatories, and a cream for the welts. You’ll check in with me every three days, either here or at the clinic. The Society has strict protocols to ensure its property stays intact."

The word "property" hit me like a slap, but there was something in that feeling—a twisted sense of belonging that followed close behind. It made me sick, yet I couldn’t shake it.

The doctor handed his prescriptions to Sandra and left without a word.

Ignoring the protests from my sore body, I swung my legs over the bed and shuffled toward the full-length mirror. What I saw made my stomach drop. My breasts were a map of dark purple splotches, remnants of the clamps. Thin, red lines crisscrossed my skin where the whips had landed. The welts on my thighs and ass were angry ridges, some already fading to a bruised blue. My pussy... swollen, raw, and red, with the word "bitch" still etched above it in faded ink. I barely recognized the woman in the mirror—the confident, self-assured person I once was seemed a lifetime ago.

A sob ripped from my throat, and I collapsed to the floor, burying my face in my knees. "What have I done?" I whispered, the words like a prayer, like a confession. The tears came hard, uncontrollable, a mix of regret, shame, and confusion. I had wanted this, hadn't I? The submission, the feeling of belonging, the obedience. But seeing my body like this, marked, changed... it felt real in a way that no fantasy had ever prepared me for.

Sandra knelt beside me, her presence warm and steady. She wrapped her arm around my shoulders. "It’s okay," she said softly, her voice almost soothing. "The first time is always the hardest. But you made it through. You’re strong."

Mimi handed me tissues, and I cried until the tears stopped flowing. Eventually, Sandra helped me to my feet. "Rest period rules," she said, her voice firm but kind. "No sexual use. Daily web logs—you’ll need to update everything. Health, activities, all of it. And when you go out, you wear your public collar."

She reached over to the nightstand and picked up the thin green band. It was subtle, elegant even, with a gold clasp engraved with "S.O.R. 002986." She held it up and fastened it around my neck. The collar felt... right. A symbol of what I had chosen, and yet, a constant reminder of the choice I had made.

"Let’s try it," Sandra suggested. "A short walk outside. Fresh air will do you good."

I dressed slowly, avoiding anything too tight. Loose sweats. We stepped outside together, the public collar snug against my skin, subtle but visible. People glanced at us as we walked—the jogger who did a double-take, the woman walking her dog who stared a little too long. There was a sense of exposure, of vulnerability. But underneath that, there was a strange thrill, a flicker of arousal that shouldn’t have been there. Even in recovery, even bruised and battered, the Society's hold on me felt tightening, inevitable.

Back inside, I collapsed onto the couch, the walk more exhausting than I expected but somehow empowering, too. Internal battles raged in my mind. The pain versus the pull, the humiliation versus a hidden desire I couldn’t fully deny. As Sandra continued explaining more about the web logs, the check-ins, and future training, I felt the escalations building. Integration into the Society wasn’t just about surviving—it was about surrender. And deep down, that was what I craved most.
