Chapter 5 of 23
The transformation of Victoria's wardrobe was the next, insidious phase of her dismantling. It began subtly. A few of her more conservative, tailored suits disappeared from her closet, replaced by dresses with slightly lower necklines, skirts that were an inch or two shorter. Richard would compliment her on the new look, his praise a warm, possessive balm that soothed the raw edge of her humiliation. "You have such a beautiful body, Victoria," he'd murmur, his hand tracing the new, lower neckline of a silk blouse. "It's a shame to hide it."
Within a fortnight, the change was no longer subtle. Her power suits were gone entirely, donated to a charity shop without her knowledge. Her closet was now a riot of cheap, flashy fabrics. Tight-fitting pencil skirts in garish colors that ended mid-thigh. Flimsy, sheer blouses that required a specific, lacy bra Richard had purchased for her. Dresses made of stretchy materials that clung to every curve. The sophisticated, muted palette of greys, navies, and creams was replaced by a riot of crimson, emerald, and sapphire. Her makeup, once impeccably professional, was now applied daily under Richard's critical eye. Dark, smoky eyeshadow, thick mascara, and a slick, glossy red lipstick that made her mouth look perpetually open and inviting.
He was turning her, piece by piece, from the elegant, sharp-witted woman he had married into a common tart. A caricature of femininity that was all surface and no substance. When she looked in the mirror, she barely recognized the painted, provocatively dressed creature staring back. This was the woman he wanted her to be, and so this is who she became.
At work, the dynamic with Akiko Tanaka grew exponentially more punishing. Where before there had been a cold, professional disdain, there was now a palpable, sadistic pleasure in her demeanor. Victoria, in her ridiculous heels and revealing clothes, was a walking target. Nothing she did was right. The coffee was too cold. The files were not in alphabetical order. Her typing was too loud. Every minor infraction, every perceived slight, was meticulously documented in a sleek, black notepad Akiko carried with her at all times. Victoria would make a mistake, see the notepad appear, a pen would scratch out a quick note, and a knot of dread would tighten in her stomach. She was accumulating a ledger of her own failures, and she knew a time would come when the debt would have to be paid.
Friday afternoon arrived, and as the office emptied, Victoria was tidying Akiko's desk, her heart sinking with each passing minute. The final entry in the notepad had been made an hour ago, after Victoria had accidentally used the wrong font in a document.
"Victoria," Akiko said, her voice sharp as broken glass. "Come with me."
She led Victoria to the small, windowless conference room at the end of the hall, a space rarely used for anything other than storing old office supplies. Akiko pointed to a corner. "Stand there. Face the wall."
Victoria complied, her body trembling with a mixture of fear and resignation. She stood in the corner, the cheap wallpaper inches from her nose, listening as Akiko moved around the room. She heard a faint click, and then the sound of a chain being drawn taut. A moment later, she felt a tug on the front of her collar. Akiko had attached a short metal chain to the ring on her collar and fastened the other end to a heavy-looking metal ring bolted to the wall at chest height. It was just long enough for her to stand straight, but not to move or turn.
Akiko's presence was a cold weight behind her. Victoria flinched as she felt the other woman's body press against her back. A hand came around her face, holding a red rubber ball attached to a leather strap.
"Open," Akiko commanded.
Victoria squeezed her mouth shut, but a sharp pinch to her side made her gasp, and in that moment, Akiko forced the ball gag into her mouth, pushing it deep behind her teeth. The leather strap was buckled cruelly tight at the nape of her neck, the leather digging into her skin. It was overwhelming, invasive. She could make only muffled, guttural grunts, her saliva already beginning to pool and drip from the corners of her mouth.
Akiko's hands, cool and impersonal, slid around her body to the front of the flimsy, low-cut blouse she'd been forced to wear. With agonizing slowness, she began to unbutton it. Victoria whimpered, a pathetic sound that was swallowed by the gag. Her hands twitched, wanting to push Akiko away, but she knew it would be useless. It would only lead to more pain.
"Stay still," Akiko hissed in her ear, her breath hot against Victoria's skin.
The blouse fell open, and Akiko's hands moved to her skirt, tugging down the zipper. It pooled at her feet. Then her bra was unhooked and tossed aside. Victoria grunted in protest, a sound of pure humiliation, and was rewarded with a sharp, stinging slap across her right buttock that made her jolt against her chains. Another grunt, another slap, this time on the other cheek. She learned quickly. Each sound of complaint was met with an instant, sharp, disciplinary smack. Soon, she was silent, save for her ragged breathing through her nose.
She stood naked, exposed, and shivering in the cool air of the room, save for the sheer black stockings held up by a garter belt and the ridiculously high stiletto heels Richard insisted she wear. Akiko moved around her, her movements efficient and practiced. She produced a set of thick leather cuffs. First, she strapped them around Victoria's ankles. Each cuff was connected to a chain, which in turn was connected to a ring just above the skirting board. Then she cuffed Victoria's wrists behind her back, the leather tight and unforgiving.
Victoria was a prisoner, trussed up and rendered completely helpless. Akiko picked up her notepad from the table where she had placed it. She stood in front of Victoria, who couldn't see her but could hear the rustling of paper.
"Let us review the week's performance," Akiko said, her voice crisp and clear in the small room. "Monday: seven instances of insubordination. Tuesday: four formatting errors and failure to replenish stationery. Wednesday: lateness from lunch. Thursday: incorrect client information on three separate occasions. And today," she said, pausing for effect, "deliberate defiance of a direct instruction regarding a document's font. A total of eighteen failures. A disappointing performance, even for you."
Victoria's heart hammered against her ribs. This was it. The punishment was coming. She braced herself, expecting the feel of a hand, a paddle, anything. Instead, she heard a sound that made her blood run cold.
"Richard," Akiko said, her voice suddenly changing, becoming respectful, almost subservient. "Yes, she is ready for you."
A laptop had been open on the conference table. From its speakers came a voice that was both a salvation and a damnation.
"Excellent work, Akiko. As always," Richard's voice said, calm and clear. "Let me have a look."
Victoria's head snapped up, her eyes wide with horror. He was watching. He was on a Zoom call, watching this entire, degrading spectacle. She felt a wave of nausea so intense she thought she might be sick.
"I can see the full report," Richard's voice continued. "Eighteen misdemeanors. That's unacceptable. We need to be firm. For each one, she will receive one stroke with the leather paddle. Akiko, I believe you know which one."
"Of course, Richard," Akiko replied, her voice laced with a dark eagerness.
Victoria heard the sound of a drawer opening, then a soft swish through the air as Akiko tested the implement. She squeezed her eyes shut, her body tensing.
"One," Richard's voice intoned, like a judge pronouncing sentence.
SWAT! The leather paddle landed with a sickening thud against her left buttock. It was a deep, thudding pain that radiated through her entire body. A muffled scream tore from her throat, absorbed by the gag.
"Two."
SWAT! The right cheek. The pain was explosive. Her legs buckled, but the chains on her ankles and the collar held her upright. Tears streamed down her face, mingling with the drool from the gag.
"One for each failure, Victoria," Richard's voice said, a terrible, detached commentary. "This is how you learn."
The punishment was methodical, relentless. SWAT! "Three." SWAT! "Four." Akiko was strong and precise, each stroke landing on the tender, already-burning flesh of her bottom and thighs. The pain was a white-hot fire, blotting out all thought. There was only the paddle, the voice counting, and the overwhelming, all-consuming shame of being punished like an animal by her employee while her husband watched from afar. By the time they reached ten, she was a sobbing, quivering mess, her body slumped in her bonds, held up only by the chain on her collar.
"Fifteen... Sixteen... Seventeen..." Each number was a fresh hell. The final stroke was the hardest. "Eighteen." SWAT! Victoria's vision swam with black spots. The world narrowed to the searing pain and the sound of her own ragged sobs.
There was a long silence, filled only with the sound of her crying. Then Richard spoke again.
"That's a good start," he said, as if he were discussing a stock portfolio. "Now, for the next matter. Akiko, as you know, I have to travel for business this weekend. A conference in Manchester. I'll be leaving this evening."
Victoria's heart gave a lurch. A weekend. Two days without Richard. Two days of freedom. A fragile, desperate hope began to form in the wreckage of her mind.
"The problem," Richard continued, dashing her hope to pieces, "is that I don't believe Victoria can be trusted. Not on her own. Given her past indiscretions, her... promiscuity... I fear that left to her own devices, even for a single night, she would revert to her old ways. We can't have that, can we?"
"No, Richard," Akiko agreed smoothly. "The progress she has made would be lost."
"Precisely. So, we need a more permanent solution for her... wanderings." He paused. "Akiko, if you would?"
From a bag on the floor, Akiko produced something that made Victoria's blood run cold. It was a chastity belt. Made of gleaming, polished stainless steel, it consisted of a wide, curved waist belt and a shield that would fit snugly over her most intimate area. There was a small, intricate lock built into the side.
Victoria began to struggle in earnest, grunting and shaking her head, a frantic, animalistic plea. No. Anything but that. It was too much. It was the final, ultimate violation.
"Be still," Akiko commanded, her voice hard as steel. She grabbed Victoria's hips, her grip like a vise. With practiced efficiency, she fitted the cold metal waist belt around Victoria's waist, clicking it shut. Then she maneuvered the front shield into place. Victoria felt the cold, unyielding press of metal against her sex, a horrifying, permanent intrusion. Akiko inserted the small key into the lock and turned it. The click was deafening, the sound of her own body being locked away from her, her sexuality placed under someone else's absolute control.
"There," Richard's voice said, sounding satisfied. "That should ensure her fidelity. But that's not all. Victoria, you will not be staying here alone. You will be going home with Akiko. You will stay at her house for the entire weekend. You will behave as if she were me. Her word is my word. Her command is my command. Is that understood?"
Through a haze of pain and utter despair, Victoria could only manage a slight, jerky nod. What choice did she have? She was chained, gagged, beaten, and now locked in steel. She had no choice. She had nothing.
"Excellent," Richard said. "Akiko, I leave her in your capable hands. I expect a full report on Monday. Have a good weekend.”
