Adventures at Disney

"Holy FUCK!!!" Diana yells, "It's 10:30!  We have to check out in 30 minutes!!"

Diana looks panicked because we haven't showered or packed.  She starts looking around the room, trying to figure out what to do first.  She also immediately gets pissed off because I am just sitting on my ass grinning and April is....

…April looks absolutely crushed, knowing that we have to leave, and she won't see Diana again for four weeks.  My wife sees the look on April’s face and her heart melts.  She gathers her into a big hug, wondering what to say, and trying not to start crying (again).

"Ahhhh, ladies...." I say, raising my voice slightly.  It takes a moment before I see that they are both paying attention and then continue, “.... about that...."

They both look at me.  I have a sheepish grin on my face.  Diana knows when I am trying to hide something.

".... I just might have thought that you two could use an extended vacation, so I....."

I pause, letting the moment build.

"What....what did you do my love?"  Diana asks, suspicion and hope creeping into her head.  I was never any good at trying to fool her while keeping a straight face.

"Well, last night I sort of, kind of, might have...."

"What?!"  They both yell together.

"Booked us here for two extra days, and I also, (counting on my fingers)... I also extended Joey to take care of the dogs... called Ethan and got Diana the days off... no change fees on Southwest, which was nice. Unfortunately, we do have to pack because we need to change rooms.  Now that race is over, I was able to get late checkout here, plus we got a Villa, for a lot less points.  I did get the two-bedroom, just in case, but after this morning, we may need new sleeping arrangements.  Oh yeah, I picked up the keys this morning... three of them."
