Chapter 10 of 21
The conversation began as if it were a perfectly normal social call. Lady Dashworth inquired about their journey, offered them sherry, and spoke of the unseasonably fine weather. But beneath the pleasantries, Celia and Eleanor could feel the current of power, the sense that they were being weighed and measured. After a few minutes, Lady Dashworth put her glass down with a decisive click.
"Let us dispense with the niceties," she said, her eyes, the color of a winter sky, fixing on them one by one. "I have been aware of your... activities... for some time. I am impressed. What you have accomplished, starting from nothing in a little houses in Rochester, is quite remarkable. The initiative, the organization, the sheer audacity of it."
Celia felt a flush of pride. "We did what was necessary, my Lady."
"Necessary," Lady Dashworth mused, a faint smile touching her lips. "A most excellent word. You see, you and I, and a few of my closest friends, are of the same mind. We have watched the world hand back power to incompetent, undeserving men, and we have found it... wanting. But our methods have, until now, been more... traditional. Isolated. You have created a movement. A network."
The discussion that followed was exhilarating. They spoke of resources, of influence, of strategy. Lady Dashworth was particularly interested in the charter they had drawn up. "A very sensible document," she commented. "Practical. But it lacks scope. We are not just talking about households. We are talking about commerce, about politics, about the very fabric of society. Your little enterprise in Snodland, for example. A cottage industry is charming, but with the right backing, it could supply the entire country."
Her eyes gleamed with a particular intensity when the subject of the chastity devices arose. "The cage," she said, her voice filled with genuine appreciation. "A masterpiece of psychological engineering. It is the key, isn't it? The physical symbol of the transfer of power. It makes the abstract concrete. I must commend you. And your craftsman, Briggs. Susan tells me he is now a most... dedicated employee."
The ladies were suprised Susan's name came up, but Lady Dashworth explained she had been using the saddlery for some time now, and when Susan appeared with a strange man one day, she became curious, and that trail led them to where they were now.
A light lunch was served by silent, efficient staff. Afterward, Lady Dashworth rose. "Now," she said, a new energy in her voice. "I believe it is time to see the cellar. Theory is all well and good, but practical application is so much more... illuminating."
She led them not back through the main hall, but down a narrow, stone-flagged corridor and then a flight of steep, worn stone steps. The air grew cold and damp. At the bottom was a heavy, iron-studded door. Lady Dashworth produced a large, ornate key from her pocket and unlocked it.
The cellar was not a cellar for wine or coal. It was a vast, circular space with a vaulted stone ceiling, supported by thick pillars. It was a medieval torture chamber, meticulously preserved and horrifyingly well-maintained. In the center of the room, chained by their necks to a massive iron ring set into the ceiling, knelt Frank, Arthur, and Lady Dashworth's hooded husband. They were naked, their bodies trembling in the cold, their eyes wide with terror as they took in their surroundings: the racks, the cages, the iron maidens, the walls lined with whips, crops, and instruments of torment they could not even name.
Lady Dashworth gestured expansively. "Please," she said, her tone as casual as if she were offering them a selection of cakes. "Feel free to experiment. The equipment is quite robust. I find a little... demonstration... helps to focus the mind on the possibilities."
For the next hour, the cellar echoed with the sounds of submission. Celia, her initial hesitation overcome by a surge of dominant energy, selected a long, thin birch rod. She tested it on Frank's buttocks, the thin whistling sound followed by his sharp cry of pain. Eleanor, her eyes gleaming, chose a heavy leather flogger and used it on Arthur, the rhythmic thud against his back soon reducing him to a whimpering mess. Lady Dashworth watched with an air of calm approval, occasionally pointing out the most effective way to strap a man into a wooden stocks or the proper technique for applying a nipple clamp. They even took turns with Lady Dashworth's hooded husband, his anonymous hood making him an ideal canvas for their experiments.
After an hour, all three men were sobbing, broken, and begging for forgiveness from any mistress who would listen. Their spirits were utterly crushed.
"Excellent," Lady Dashworth said, her satisfaction evident. She led the way back up the stairs, the ladies following, their hearts pounding with a dark, triumphant energy. In the drawing room, a table was laid for afternoon tea. Two young men served it, perhaps in their early twenties. They were tanned and muscular, and completely naked, save for tight, black leather shorts that were more like pouches, with long, provocative sheaths for their penises sticking out stiffly in front. They moved with a graceful, trained servitude.
Lady Dashworth noticed the direction of their gaze. "My personal staff," she said with a dismissive wave of her hand. "Trained from a young age. Very... enthusiastic. Please, help yourselves. Consider them a parting gift if you wish."
Celia and Eleanor exchanged a look. The offer was tempting, but they were overwhelmed, their minds reeling from the afternoon's revelations. "We are... flattered, my Lady," Celia managed to say. "But perhaps we might take a raincheck?"
"Of course," Lady Dashworth replied, her smile genuine this time. "A wise choice. One must not rush these things."
As they were preparing to leave, plans were made for a larger gathering. "A party," Lady Dashworth announced. "In a month's time. Here. You will bring your... pets," she said, using the word with a deliberate, provocative relish. "And I will invite some of my friends. It is time, I think, for the Sisterhood of the Medway to meet the Sisterhood of Kent."
The journey home was silent. The Rolls-Royce was as luxurious as before, but the Bedford van behind it now seemed less sinister and more like a symbol of their new, expanded world. They were no longer just two housewives from Rochester. They were players in a much larger, darker game. And they had just been invited to a bigger table.
