Chapter 17 of 24
Jack lay in the dark, the faint smell of stale piss hanging in the air as a harsh reminder of his humiliation and the degradation he felt earlier that day. The room was unbearably stuffy, the air heavy and motionless, but he didn't care. The leather cuffs pressed into his wrists and ankles, anchoring him to the bed frame and forcing him to stay still, with no way to shift or find a more comfortable position. The physical discomfort was a dull, persistent ache.
But the sheer exhaustion of the last twenty-four hours, and the overwhelming desire to just shut his brain off, sleep overrode the pain. He drifted into a deep, heavy slumber, oblivious to the darkness, the heat, and the smell, his mind finally quieting down after a day of torment.
He woke up in a heavy, oppressive darkness. The room resembled a sealed box, with blackout windows doing their job too effectively, turning the space into a sensory void where time seemed to freeze. He lay still for a moment, his body aching. His cock, influenced by morning memories and the lingering effects of the night, was half-erect, a testament to his biology despite his mental resignation.
The silence in the room was broken by a faint, rhythmic chirping of birds. It was the only sound from outside, drifting through the thick blackout curtains. He strained his ears, trying to tell the time, but with no clock or window, the only clue was the sound of nature. He convinced himself it had to be morning. He told himself the sun would rise soon, one more day, and the nightmare would end.
Vanessa had been awake for a while; she had checked on Jack via the camera set up in his room. She was on her way back from her morning speed walk with some of the other club members. All women, they talked about men in the group; Jack's name came up a few times, especially when the chat got a bit raunchy.
The group paused near the house, the morning air crisp as they discussed the men in their lives. "So, what's Jack doing?" one of them asked, her voice casual and curious. "We haven't seen him around the club in ages. Is he okay?"
Vanessa looked at her watch with a small, knowing smile on her lips. “He’s fine, I think. I haven’t seen him for a while; he’s a little tied up these days,” Vanessa lied.
"Tied up, huh?" The girls giggled, the implication clear, but the reality a complete mystery to them. They thought of him as a boyfriend, maybe a little distant, but definitely someone with his own life. They had no clue he was currently chained up in a dark room, his existence controlled by a remote and a leather leash. They believed he was resting because he was tired or busy at work. They didn't realize he was resting because he had been used, cleaned, and discarded by the woman standing right in front of them.
She waved them off and walked back into the house, the heavy door clicking shut behind her, sealing the secret away. She moved up the stairs to Jack's room, the silence of the house wrapping around her. She unlocked the door and stepped inside, the air thick and stale, filled with the lingering smell of urine and sweat in the darkness. She looked down at him in the shadows, seeing the man who was a prisoner, completely unaware that his freedom would soon be a distant memory
Vanessa stood over him in the darkness, her footsteps the only sign of her presence. She reached down, her fingers touching the buckles of the manacles that attached his wrists and ankles to the bed frame. The tension disappeared instantly, but Jack didn't move right away; his limbs felt heavy and uncoordinated from the night's restraint.
"Up and shower," she commanded, her voice lacking any warmth or morning greeting. "Tidy this room up, then meet me downstairs."
The order was final. She didn't wait for him to protest or question; she simply turned on her heel and walked out, leaving Jack alone in the oppressive air. He lingered there for a moment, the smell of stale urine and the remnants of the night filling his nose, the reality of his servitude sinking in deeply. He groaned, his body aching as he finally pushed himself up.
The mattress springs groaned in protest. He looked around the room, not too bad, just the bed to be made. He moved with the robotic obedience of a machine. His mind racing with the only certainty he held onto: ‘One more day’. She had to let him go tonight. It was logical. He had work on Monday. She had to let him go.
He stepped into the shower, feeling the hot water sting his bruises, scrubbing his skin raw as he tried to wash away the sensation of the leather cage, the taste of the rubber, and the deep ache of ownership. He kept telling himself that tonight was the finish line, and he just had to make it until then.
Vanessa, meanwhile, stood under the spray in her bathroom. The water was scalding, washing away the last of her run's sweat, leaving her clean, smooth, and smelling of expensive soap. She thought about Jack as she soaped her body, a flicker of amusement crossing her face. She would have laughed out loud if she could read his thoughts of ‘One more day’.
She didn't care about his work schedule or the idea of "letting him go." She thought about the immediate future, and it held no promise of freedom. She rinsed off and stepped out, towel-drying her hair. She had plans. Maybe she would chain him to the radiator or leave him in the pantry for a few days to think things over. The "immediate future" for Jack wasn't about leaving; it was about her next move, and she had plenty of ideas to keep him exactly where she wanted him.
Jack returned to his room, and the harsh overhead light was on. The air was thick with a cloying, artificial sweetness—the scent of a Glade plug, presumably added to mask the faint smell of piss.
On the bed lay the leather restraining belt. It was the pouch he had worn earlier, a device made for long-term containment. The padlock sat beside it, unlocked, with a clear intention. He was supposed to put it on himself and willingly lock himself back into captivity.
He looked around. It felt more like a kennel than a bedroom. It served as a reminder that he was being kept like a pet, not a man in a home. He sat on the edge of the bed, the cotton of the sheets cool against his thighs, and picked up the belt, the weight of it settling in his lap.
The mantra from earlier, "One more day," flickered in his mind, but the sight of the unlocked padlock felt less like an opportunity for freedom and more like a shackle waiting to be fastened. He didn't hesitate. He fastened the belt around his waist, the buckle clicking shut with a finality that silenced his thoughts. He picked up the padlock, the click echoing in the silent room as he locked himself in, sealing his fate for the next phase of his imprisonment.
Jack stepped into the kitchen, the smell of frying eggs filling the air. Vanessa stood by the stove, dressed in a light, summery dress. She moved with casual grace, scraping the eggs onto her plate and shoveling the remainder into a ceramic dog bowl.
She looked up, her eyes assessing him. He stood there, the leather restraining belt in place.
"When you enter a room," she said, her voice cutting through the clatter of the pan, "you will kneel, crawl to me, and kiss my feet."
Jack didn't hesitate. He dropped to his knees immediately, the leather belt forming a tight, restrictive seal around his waist. He lowered his upper body, hands resting on the floor, and started to crawl. The movement was awkward and slow. He crawled across the tiled floor, the sound of his action echoing in the small kitchen, until he reached her sandals.
He knelt at her feet, her sandals revealing her painted toes. He leaned forward, pressing his lips against her feet and kissing the tops of her toes with reverence. He finished the kiss, forehead pressed against the floor, waiting for a dismissal that never came. She turned without a word, her dress swishing slightly as she moved her back to him. She reached out and picked up the silver handcuffs resting on the table—familiar, cold objects that had dominated his night before.
"Put your hands behind your back," she said, her voice flat.
Jack obeyed immediately, the leather belt at his waist tightening as he shifted his weight. He held his arms out, fingers interlocked. She quickly cuffed him, the click of the ratchet closing sounding sharp and definitive in the kitchen. Before he could adjust to the restraint, she moved behind him, snapping cuffs joint by a short chain onto each of his ankles.
Vanessa placed her plate of eggs and buttered toast on the kitchen table, a simple, nourishing meal. She grabbed the dog bowl and lowered it to the floor. It landed with a dull thud, right in the space between his spread knees.
He exhaled a heavy, ragged sigh that escaped his lips. He understood exactly what this signified. There was no fork, no knife, no napkin. Only the food, the cold floor, and the leash still holding him.
She tapped his backside with the toe of her sandal, a sharp, commanding reminder of his position. "Eat."
He didn't hesitate. With the short chains on his ankles limiting his movement, he had to lean forward, his face hovering just above the eggs. The leather retraining belt dug into his hips as he lowered his head. The smell of the food—eggs, salt, butter—wafted up, but he knew he wasn't supposed to enjoy it. He dipped his head into the bowl, his lips touching the ceramic, and began to eat, scraping the food up with his tongue.
Vanessa pushed her plate aside, the ceramic scraping against the wood with a sharp ring. Her pet would be cleaning that later, she thought lazily, watching him with detached amusement. She saw him licking the ceramic clean, the sound of the slurping echoing in the quiet kitchen.
She waited until the last crumb was gone. Then, she picked up a cup, the bone china warm in her hand. Without a word, she poured the hot liquid directly into the now-empty dog bowl. It splashed a little, the light tea settling into the shallow dish.
"Just as you like it," she said, her tone breezy and condescending, devoid of warmth. "Milky and sweet."
That was exactly how he took his tea—the way she knew he liked it most—usually served in a proper china cup with a saucer. But not today. Not when he was kneeling on the floor, wearing a leather belt and cuffed like a prisoner. He stared at the tea pooling in the ceramic, steam curling around his face. He had no choice. He lowered his head again, the leather belt digging into his ribs as he leaned in, ready to drink his tea like a dog.
Vanessa rested her legs on his back, the heel of her sandal pressing into his spine, forcing him to bend lower over the bowl. The pressure was intense, anchoring him firmly in place. She watched him struggle, his body jerking as he tried to sip the tea without choking, his lips smacking wetly against the ceramic.
She felt a sharp, electric thrill surge through her veins. This was it—the moment the cage truly closed. She wasn't merely his owner or plaything; she was his entire world. She leaned back, letting contact break, and looked down at him, her eyes glowing with a terrifying, possessive light.
"You know," she said softly, her voice cutting through the slurping, "I've been thinking about your house. That little place you call home."
Jack froze, a drop of tea spilling from his lips and running down his chin.
It’s too big for just you, isn't it?" she mused, lightly kicking her foot against his backside. "And now... now there's no need for it. I've made up my mind. You're moving out. Starting tonight, you’ll live here—until I find a more suitable place for us, maybe a house with a nice big cellar. Won’t that be great? No more freedom. No more choices. Just you, a cage, and me.
It was the "big rug" she had been waiting to yank. She smiled as she watched the realization sink in him. “I'm going to sell your place. You won't need it anymore.”
"That reminds me," she said, her voice light and breezy, cutting through the air as if she were discussing the weather. "With the sale of the house and the fortune we have in the bank, thanks to your father, you won't need to go to work anymore. So, I've sent a lovely resignation letter to your boss."
Jack froze, the tea forgotten. The words hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. He turned his head and stared up at her, his eyes wide with a dawning horror. He hadn't realized she had access to his accounts. She smiled as she dug the sandal into his spine.
She intended to sell his home. Steal his inheritance and make him unemployed. The rug had been pulled out from under him completely. He had to find a way to turn this around.
