Chapter 18 of 24
Vanessa buttoned up her light jacket, the crisp sound of the fabric settling over her shoulders. She stood in the doorway as morning sunlight spilled across the kitchen tiles, illuminating the figure crouched in the corner. Jack looked up at her, the hatred in his eyes raw and burning, a stark contrast to the submissive posture of his body.
It was a look of pure venom, and it sent a jolt of electricity through Vanessa. She fed on it—the resentment, the fury, the utter helplessness. It was the fuel that kept her engine running.
"I'm going out for a while," she said casually, as if she were heading to the grocery store. "I'm going to show George around the house."
She paused, a cruel smile curling on her lips. She gestured vaguely toward the outside world. “Did you know George is a licensed estate agent?"
She laughed softly, a sound full of pure, unfiltered malice. "There seems to be no end to that man's talent.”
Jack flinched at the name. It was another turn in the screw. Vanessa had spent a lot of time last night telling Jack how inferior to George he was, even though it wasn’t so. In fact, she had no intentions of seeing George ever again, but Jack didn’t need to know that.
Vanessa was planning to spend her day examining Jack's house to find more weaknesses to exploit, while leaving him alone in her house, where she hoped he would soon realize there was no way out. She went through the checklist in her mind before closing the door behind her, plotting the psychological and physical barriers she had set up to guarantee his complete subjugation.
She had left the laptop open on the lounge table, its screen glowing with no password required. It was a trap to lure him in, a digital lifeline she intended to let him choke on. She knew he would want to reach out, try to contact a friend.
Sensors were discreetly installed around her house's windows and doors. Any attempt by Jack to tamper with them—like trying a window latch or nudging a door—would activate the highest level of shock through the collar. This would serve as a harsh reminder that this house wasn't just a home; it was his prison. She was monitoring his movements.
She had left his arms unencumbered, a small mercy, giving him a false sense of hope or comfort while he was alone. However, his legs were still chained and hobbled. As she walked out, locking the door, she knew she was executing a skillful combination of control and psychological manipulation (the open laptop, the sensors), ensuring that when he discovered the truth, he would have no resources and nowhere to run.
Vanessa smiled and closed the door, the click of the deadbolt echoing like a gunshot. Jack stood frozen for a moment, listening to the engine roaring to life, the crunch of tires on the driveway, and finally the house falling silent as she drove away.
Panic, cold and sharp, gripped him. It was a primal reaction; he realized he had been given limited freedom. He didn't think; he moved. He began a frantic dash through the rooms, his legs tripping over each other in his haste. He moved too quickly, his foot catching on the chain, and he went down hard, his face slamming against the tiled floor.
He lay there for a second, tasting blood, his breath hitching in his throat.
"Calm the fuck down," he hissed, words clawing their way out of his throat. He pushed himself up, leaning heavily against the kitchen counter, his legs trembling. He needed to be rational. He needed to switch gears. He was a man who solved problems for a living; this was just a tough situation, a high-stakes project.
He took a deep breath, trying to slow his heart rate. He looked around the kitchen. The teapot sat cooling on the counter, the cups stacked neatly beside it. It was a scene of normalcy, a stark contrast to the chaos inside his mind. He stared at the teapot, grounding himself in the ordinary, attempting to remember how to be a functional human again.
But then his eyes drifted to the open door of the lounge. The laptop sat on the table, its screen glowing with a gentle blue light. It was an open door, a digital lifeline. Vanessa had fucked up. He glanced at the teapot, then at the laptop, and the logical gears in his mind started to turn, grinding through the fear to find a solution.
As Vanessa pulled up outside Jack's Gillingham house, the engine idling in the driveway, her phone buzzed in her hand. She glanced at the screen, a smirk curling her lips. It was the banking app she secretly downloaded onto her phone yesterday.
The notification was brief and stinging: Login Failed. Incorrect Password.
She hit the parking brake and shut off the engine, the silence of the car enveloping her as she looked at the message. Jack had tried to access his own account using the old username and password she had long since changed. He was fighting to recover, trying to find his footing, trying to decide his next move, but he was doing it with a dead map.
"Quick," she thought, feeling satisfaction wash over her. He was panicking, trying to figure out if his money had gone, completely unaware that she was the one controlling the flow. He thought he was fighting for his independence, but he was just ramming his head against a locked door.
She put the phone away, her smile fading into cold calculation. His emails and messenger apps would be next on her list. She had already changed the passwords on everything, making sure he was cut off from his friends, his job, and his digital life. He was losing his connection to the world—isolated and helpless, with nowhere to turn.
Jack paced the lounge, his face flushed with a deep, angry red, the veins in his temples pounding as his mind raced against the clock. Vanessa was a step ahead, a chess player who had moved all her pieces while he was still staring at an empty board. He slammed his palm into his forehead, the impact jarring his skull—a desperate attempt to shock his brain into focusing.
"Think, dammit! Think!" he shouted, the sound echoing in the empty room.
Then it hit him—a sudden, desperate surge of hope. His job. His work portal. It was a separate system, with a different password. Vanessa wouldn't know the login details for his work email or the internal client portal. They had never talked about it; it was a professional boundary she had never crossed. Maybe, just maybe, if he could get a message to his boss, Erin Wilson, she could help him.
Erin would know something was wrong. She would come.
Jack rushed to the laptop on the table, his legs still unsteady, his hands shaking as he typed the URL. He logged in, his fingers flying across the keyboard, bypassing the firewall with practiced ease. He opened a new email draft and started to type, his heart pounding in his chest as he poured out his plea for help, describing the betrayal and his captivity.
He hit send, and the email disappeared into the ether, like a lifeline thrown into the abyss. He leaned back, breathing a sigh of relief, feeling a flicker of genuine hope for the first time in twenty-four hours.
Little did he know that Erin Wilson was largely responsible for the predicament he now faced. She wasn't just a boss; she was an accomplice who had orchestrated this coup; she had put Jack center stage, courtesy of a simple roll of the dice.
Vanessa made her way through the rooms of the Gillingham house, the motion sensor lights flickering on as she entered. She used Jack's phone to disarm the alarm, the screen casting a soft blue glow that lit up the dark entryway. Although they had known each other for a while, this was the first time she had been inside his home. It felt like trespassing, invading a private space she hadn't been invited into.
She was pleasantly surprised by the interior. The decor was tastefully done, the furniture was nice, and the house was spotless. She realized then that Jack lived comfortably; the lifestyle was evident in every corner, a sharp contrast to the chaos she had recently brought into his life.
She wandered into the study or entertainment room, where a top-of-the-line gaming system sat humming silently. An extra-large flat screen dominated the wall, surrounded by a bunch of electronic equipment that Vanessa had no clue about. She looked at the gadgets, the controllers, the complex wiring, and shook her head with a smirk. "Boys will be boys," she muttered, dismissing his interests as typical male behavior that she could never quite understand but would soon correct.
Rainham
Jack, meanwhile, made his way up to Vanessa's bedroom. He found what he was looking for on the nightstand—a simple silver hair grip. It took barely a second to loosen the tension on the leg cuffs; the mechanism was crude. His legs were free.
He moved to the next belt. The padlock on the buckle was nothing special, a standard pin-tumbler he had seen countless times before. With a satisfying click, it opened. He let the heavy belt fall to the floor, the leather's thud a small victory.
He stepped into the bathroom, the door clicking shut behind him. He urinated, standing tall with his hands resting on the vanity, staring at his reflection. He washed his hands.
He dried off and turned to the mirror. The collar was next. He examined it closely, tilting his head from side to side. There was no visible lock, no keyhole, no latch. It was a sleek, seamless band of high-tech material. He ran his fingers over the smooth surface, feeling the pulse of the electronics beneath. No lock. Very sophisticated. This would require a bit more thinking.
In Gillingham, Vanessa sat in the ergonomic chair, the lumbar support adjusting automatically to her back. She typed in the first password she found on his phone, and the lock screen slid away with a soft click. The login was successful. She leaned back, the screen illuminating her face with a blue glow. Her first instinct was to check the hard drive for filth.
She navigated to his downloads folder. Empty. No wank bank files saved, no hidden folders of shame. It meant he either watched his porn on the fly or he was surprisingly disciplined. She dismissed it as uninteresting and moved to the browser history.
The list was a string of clichés. Mild fem dom, foot fetish galleries, biting and scratching videos. Nothing deep, nothing dark. Just fluff. "Boring," she thought, her finger hovering over the scrollbar, ready to close the window.
Then she paused. A bookmark caught her eye—a site she knew well, a forum dedicated to the philosophy she adhered to. She clicked it. FLR Guide. She recognized the name right away. It was the site where men went to learn how to be useful, where they worshipped women. She smiled, a cold, triumphant curve of her lips. It wasn't just that he watched porn; it was that he was actively researching the dynamic she was imposing on him. He hadn't just stumbled into this; he had been searching for it. He was a match made in heaven, and she had just found the proof. He wasn't just her prisoner; he was her ideal.
She shut down the browser, the screen fading to black, leaving the room quiet except for the hum of the cooling fans. She leaned back in the ergonomic chair, feeling the familiar, crushing weight of power settle into her bones. She smiled, a slow, satisfied curve forming on her lips. She imagined Jack, locked in her room, wondering if life under a woman's dominance was all he thought it would be. She doubted it.
Vanessa was so absorbed in social media and browsing history that she overlooked practical aspects of his life. She hadn't checked his email client, nor had she even considered looking at the specific work software he used on this machine.
If she had spent just a few more minutes, she would have found the login for his work portal. He had saved the credentials right here on this specific computer, a security lapse she had overlooked in her haste to judge his sexual tastes. There, waiting for a keystroke, was the direct line to Erin Wilson.
Jack rummaged through the laundry room in Vanessa’s house, finding his jeans and T-shirt folded neatly on a high shelf. The fabric felt heavy and comforting against his skin, the scent of fresh detergent covering the stale smell of the house. It had been days since he had worn decent clothing, and for a moment, the chill of the room seemed to disappear.
He felt a surge of hope. He needed to get out and regroup. He remembered the workshop he was based at. Since it was Sunday, the facility would be empty—a sanctuary of tools and silence. He could figure out how to bypass the collar there. It was a logical plan, a way to reclaim his life.
He found his wallet in a kitchen drawer, with the credit cards and a few dollars of emergency cash inside. He put them into his pocket, the solid objects feeling like weapons in his hand. He headed for the door.
He reached for the handle and turned it.
CRACK.
A jolt of electricity shot from the collar, fierce and instant. Jack hit the ground hard, his legs giving way beneath him. He dropped to his knees, the shock rippling through his nervous system, a blazing fire that made him groan and curl up, gasping for air as the paralysis took hold.
He wasn't leaving. Not yet.
Vanessa was still prowling through Jack’s house, the lingering scent of his aftershave filling the air, when her phone buzzed insistently on the table. She picked it up, a knowing smirk spreading across her face as the notification lit up the screen: Proximity Alert: Kitchen Door.
"Oh, look at you," she whispered, her laughter low and throaty. She watched the screen, tracking the little dot that represented Jack’s location, which was just outside the door she had told him not to leave. A few minutes later, the phone buzzed again. Front Door.
Then, something else. Kitchen Window.
He was really trying to squeeze through the cracks. She was genuinely impressed. The raw, desperate struggle to escape, the physical pain he must be feeling with every attempt, the shock jolting through his body—it was captivating. It was a performance, and she was the audience, enjoying it thoroughly. She waited for the next alert, eager to see what other desperate measure he would attempt next.
But then, the silence returned. No more notifications. The dot on the map didn't move. He had stopped.
She set the phone down and leaned back, a warm, possessive smile returning. He had stopped. He had understood the message. He realized that the only way out was through her, and for now, there was no escape.
Jack sat on the kitchen floor, his hand rubbing the angry, red welts on his throat. He was parched, with a splitting headache pounding behind his eyes. He was cursing under his breath, his frustration boiling over. He was so close to freedom, but the door felt like the enemy.
He tried to stand, his legs trembling, and grabbed the back of a chair to steady himself. Then he shuffled over to the sink, grabbed a glass from the nearby cupboard, and filled it with water from the tap. He leaned back against the counter and took a big, desperate swig, his eyes darting around the room.
They landed on a long box hidden in a corner. Aluminum foil. He set the drink down, his mind racing. Surely it couldn't be that easy. The collar had to have sensors. If he could hide them, then he might be able to escape.
He took a sheet of foil, tore it into strips, and folded them over to create a thick, conductive barrier. He carefully pushed the folded strip between the collar and his neck. "Shit, this could actually work," he thought, a surge of relief washing over him.
That's when he heard the beep. He began to feel the restriction around his neck, and the collar tightened. His tampering had triggered a failsafe. He managed to rip the foil out, but the collar continued to tighten, seemingly locked in place. His head throbbed violently, and his vision began to grey out. The beep was the last thing he heard before he collapsed to the floor. The collar's system read his heart rate, registered his unconsciousness, and then released its grip.
Vanessa ascended the stairs, her eyes taking in the layout of the house. The master bathroom was spotless, the shower tiles gleaming and free of any grime, a detail that earned a small nod of approval. She moved on to the spare rooms; one was sparsely furnished with just a bed and minimal furniture, while the other revealed the secret to Jack's physique. It served as a home gym, lined with dumbbells and an adjustable weight set. She would later discover a high-end treadmill tucked away in the corner of the garage, a testament to his discipline. But her exploration led her to the final room: the main bedroom
A king-size bed filled the space, with dark oak wood shining and the bedding tastefully crisp. It was neatly made, of course; she expected nothing less from a man who kept the rest of his house in such immaculate order. She rummaged through his dresser drawers and opened the wardrobe, finding a collection of expensive aftershaves and a display box of fine watches—items that suggested a man who takes pride in his personal appearance. His clothes were a good selection, nothing flashy, mostly branded, reflecting a practical yet stylish wardrobe.
She turned to the full-length mirror covering one of the wardrobe doors. She smiled at her reflection, then reached behind her to slip off her jacket. Next, she slowly slid her dress down her shoulders until it pooled on the floor. She unhooked her bra and removed her panties, standing naked in the cool air. She picked up one of his bottles of aftershave and spritzed herself, closing her eyes to breathe in the scent.
She climbed onto the bed, the sheets cool against her skin, and closed her eyes. She let her mind wander to the image of Jack, kneeling at the foot of this very bed, begging to please her, desperate to lick her. Her hands roamed down her naked body, tracing curves until they found her wetness. She let out a low moan as her fingers slipped between her legs.
