Chapter 2 of 23
Mildred Smith hadn't always been the feared keyholder of the Medway towns. Twenty-five years ago, she had been a struggling single mother, working as a manager at a launderette in Chatham owned by a brash Indian businessman named Raj. The laundrette was failing, and Raj was desperate to turn it around.
Mildred, with her sharp business sense and no-nonsense approach, had been brought in to save it. She worked fourteen-hour days, transforming the failing business into a profitable enterprise. But it was her relationship with Raj that would change her life forever.
He was married, but that didn't stop him from making advances toward Mildred. At first, she resisted, but there was something about his desperation that intrigued her. One evening, after they had closed the accounts for the month and found they had finally turned a profit, Raj had invited her for a drink.
"I don't know what I'd do without you, Mildred," he had said, his eyes glassy from whiskey. "You've saved my business."
"I've saved your business because I'm good at what I do," she replied, sipping her gin and tonic. "Don't forget that."
"I could never forget," he said, reaching across the table to take her hand. "There's something else I've been wanting to ask you."
That night, back at his flat above the launderette, Raj had revealed his secret. As they undressed, he had confessed to her—his fascination with dominant women, his desire to be controlled and humiliated.
"I've never told anyone this," he had whispered, as she stood over him, her hands on her hips. "Not even my wife."
Mildred had felt a thrill run through her. This was a power she had never experienced before. She had spent her life being pushed around by men—her father, her ex-husband, her bosses. But here was this successful businessman, literally on his knees before her, begging for her domination.
"From now on, you'll call me Ma'am," she had said, her voice firm. "And you'll do exactly as I say."
Their affair continued for months, with Mildred discovering her natural talent for domination. She pushed Raj further and further, testing his limits and finding that he had none. It was Raj who introduced her to the chastity cage, ordering one online and presenting it to her as a gift.
"I want you to control this part of me completely," he had said, his eyes wide with submission. "I want you to be the only one who decides when I can have release."
Mildred had locked the cage on him that night, and the feeling of the key in her possession was intoxicating. When Raj begged for release a week later, she had made an impulsive decision.
"It'll cost you," she had said, watching his face carefully. “Fifty pounds to unlock you."
To her surprise, Raj had eagerly paid. The next time, it was seventy-five. She knew she could have demanded more and he would have paid it, but she knew his finances; any more would have been taken out of the business. Even at what she charged him, she was making more from his release fees than she was from her salary.
The idea for her business was born when she happened to read an article in a magazine about key-holders—women who controlled men's sexuality for a fee. The article mentioned how some men were so desperate for this service that they would pay almost anything.
Mildred saw an opportunity. She placed discreet advertisements in specialized magazines, using a post office box as her contact address. The response was overwhelming. Within a month, she had a dozen regular clients, all successful men who secretly craved domination and control.
With the money she earned, she bought the launderette from Raj. As time went by, she opened several more launderettes across the Medway towns, all successful, all funded by her side business as a key-holder.
But there were dangers. One client, a particularly aggressive man named Brian, had become violent when she refused to unlock him after he missed a payment. He had beaten her, leaving her with a black eye and broken ribs. After that incident, she implemented the collar-and-chain system.
"If you want my services, you'll wear the collar," she had told her next client, a solicitor from Maidstone. "And you'll be chained to the wall. No exceptions."
The system worked perfectly. It gave her complete control, ensuring that none of her clients could turn violent. Over the years, she had refined her techniques, her reputation growing among a select circle of men who craved what only she could provide.
Now, as she looked down at Jonathan Clements, the CEO of a successful electronics supply company, kneeling at her feet with his collar locked and his cock caged, she felt that same thrill she had experienced with Raj all those years ago. This was her empire—not just the launderettes that bore her name, but this secret world of domination and control that existed behind closed doors.
"Please, Mildred," Jonathan begged again, his eyes pleading. "I'll pay double this time. Just unlock me for an hour."
Mildred smiled, reaching into her pocket for the small key that dangled from a chain. "We'll see about that," she said, her voice dangerously soft. "But first, you have to earn it."
