Chapter 29: The Holiday

The three days after the bath passed in a blur of total regression.

Lucy existed as a pure baby slave. She wallowed in successive heavy diapers, often left in them longer than necessary so that the warm, humiliating weight became a constant background fact of her body. Mommy used her mouth for long stretches—on the throne, on the floor beside the bed, sometimes simply standing over her in the nursery—while reading or speaking to the Maid Slave about ordinary household matters. Occasional punishments arrived without warning: a short caning across the backs of her thighs for a muffled sound that displeased, cold water sprayed directly onto her clit when she grew too visibly aroused during a change, the discipline bra tightened until breathing became work. Lucy floated inside the routine. Thought grew simple and circular. Wet. Serve. Endure. Be grateful when the bottle came. Be still when Mommy’s attention turned elsewhere.

On the morning of the fourth day—the last full day before Charles was due to return—Kate entered the nursery already dressed and carrying a small collection of items Lucy did not recognize.

“Special day, Little Lucy,” she said. Her voice was lighter than usual. “In my religion we observe a lunar holiday once every six months. Today you get a different kind of service.”

Lucy’s first reaction was dread. Religious observances in the Territory were often public, painful, or both. She braced for new restraints, new pain, new rituals.

Instead Kate unlocked the plastic panties and cut away the ultra-thick overnight diaper. In its place she fitted a simple, thin adult woman’s brief—practical, discreet, nothing like the bulky slave padding Lucy had lived in for weeks. An inflatable plug was seated in her permanently stretched entrance and pumped just enough to give a mild, familiar fullness without the extreme stretch of the training devices. The discipline bra was replaced with a soft training bra that merely shaped her reduced breasts. Kate carefully settled a shoulder-length red wig over Lucy’s bald scalp, adjusting the fringe until it framed her face. The padded mitts came off. The spiked booties came off. The ring gag was unbuckled and set aside.

Then Kate held up a small case and opened it.

Dentures.

Lucy’s breath stopped. Kate fitted them carefully into the soft, empty gums. Suddenly Lucy’s mouth had structure again. She could close her lips. She could feel the shape of teeth with her tongue. The first sob broke out of her without warning. Tears followed in a continuous, helpless stream.

Kate wiped them away and continued. The heavy facility-style cuffs and collar were exchanged for lighter, almost decorative versions in polished leather and discreet metal—still locked, still ownership marks, but elegant. Kate spent nearly half an hour on makeup, treating Lucy’s face with the focused pleasure of someone dressing a favorite doll for a special outing. Foundation, a little color on the cheeks and lips, subtle work around the eyes. When she finished she held up a mirror.

Lucy stared at the stranger who looked almost like a young woman again and cried harder.

This is temporary. She is giving it to me knowing she will take it all back tomorrow. The kindness is part of the ownership. It makes the return worse and she knows it. I should hate her for it. Instead I am grateful. I am so grateful I cannot stop crying.

Kate helped her into a simple dress that covered the thin diaper and the remaining restraints, then lifted her into a lightweight wheelchair. The short trip to the supermarket felt surreal. Ordinary fluorescent lights. Ordinary people moving through aisles. Lucy’s bare feet rested on the footplates; her hands, free of mitts for the first time in weeks, lay in her lap and trembled.

Kate pushed slowly and spoke in a normal conversational tone.

“Tell me,” she said. “What was the facility like for you? What did it feel like when they first put the collar on? What does it feel like now, belonging to me the way you do?”

Lucy had not formed full sentences in weeks. The dentures and the absence of the gag made speech possible but clumsy. She started slowly, then found the words coming faster, tangled and raw. She spoke about the protest, the intake, the sarcophagus, the vat, the daycare, the permanent changes to her body. She tried to explain the confusion of craving the hand that held the leash. Kate listened with genuine curiosity, occasionally asking a quiet follow-up, never offering comfort or apology—only attention.

They went to the park afterward. Lucy sat in the wheelchair and watched dogs run, children play at a distance, leaves move in the wind. The ordinary world felt both close and completely unreachable. At the public square they stopped among other spectators to view the day’s official punishments. One of the figures on display was a woman Lucy recognized from the facility—crucified on a modern frame, still alive, a guard posted nearby to ensure the sentence continued. The woman’s face was a mask of exhaustion and pain.

Something unexpected moved through Lucy’s chest.

That could have been me. There are worse owners. There are worse fates. I am owned by someone who bathes me and paints my face and asks what I feel. I am still a thing. I am still going back into the diaper and the gag tomorrow. But right now, in this moment, I am glad it is her.

The realization arrived with a fresh wave of tears.

By early evening they returned to the house. Kate allowed Lucy a small plate of real food—soft, carefully chosen, only a few bites. Lucy’s stomach, conditioned for so long to liquid formula, accepted it with effort. Any more would have made her violently ill. Afterward Kate took her to the master bedroom, but not to the closet throne. She undressed them both, laid Lucy on a thick blanket on the floor beside the bed (still not allowed on the mattress itself), and made slow, deliberate love to her. Fingers and mouth, careful of the still-healing body, attentive in a way that felt almost like care. Lucy came once, quietly, and the orgasm felt different—less like the violent, forced peaks of the party and more like something that belonged, briefly, to the soft red-haired young woman in the mirror.

When it was over Kate held her for a long time.

Then the holiday ended.

The wig came off. The dentures were removed and locked away. The makeup was cleaned from her face. The soft training bra and thin diaper were replaced by the full baby-slave uniform: ultra-thick padding, locked plastic panties, onesie, discipline bra, rigid corset, padded mitts, spiked booties, ring gag, heavy collar. Each item settled onto Lucy’s body like a door closing. She cried through most of it—quiet, continuous tears that the ring gag turned into wet, helpless sounds.

Kate carried her to the crib, secured the restraints, and kissed her forehead once.

“Holiday’s over, Little Lucy. Back to normal tomorrow when Daddy comes home.”

The bars closed.

Lucy lay in the familiar dark, mouth empty of teeth again, body sealed once more into the shape Mommy preferred, and tried to hold on to the memory of ordinary panties, of a park, of being asked what she felt. The memories already felt thin, as if they belonged to someone else.

Tomorrow the routine would resume.

Tonight she still tasted real food and the ghost of a kindness that had been, in its own way, the cruelest gift of all.
