Chapter 9 of 13

Stephen Fox

Hello, there insubordinates, I hope you've had your tea and biscuits because my story will do nothing but amaze you. I'll get right into it since I'm friendly, but you'll get to learn more about my fabulous self. My life began in New York City, where I was born flawlessly. I was told that my birth barely even caused my mother pain and even if this surprises you just remember that I'm a fox, I'm supposed to be tiny. Apparently, though, I have dwarfism. I'm extremely short compared to the rest of anthro foxes. I'm 4'7, I know tiny. Make fun of me though and you'll meet Shinse. Anyways, I grew up watching Television. Being surrounded by it, I watched a lot of movies and shows. Many people thought the magic in the programs was fake, then one day I proved them wrong. When I was seven I crossed my fingers and twisted my hand, then summoned a whip made of pure light. I used this in my science show, and unsurprisingly none of the teachers could explain it. Magic doesn't have explanations, duh. Anyways, I continued to grow in my abilities by practising every day. By nine i was fully capable of manipulating objects and people around me. I then found a mirror dimension, made by a primordial being to house itself and steal the souls of mortals in the blink of an eye. I asked it a few questions, though it was shocked i was in their world. Such a tiny nine-year-old would surprise me too. "How are you here mortal?" He demanded loudly. I simply summoned a light zipper on his lips and closed it, shutting him up. "I primordial being making a universe to hide? You have so much power, what is it you're hiding from? Could it be another primordial being?" I pondered aloud. He quickly broke out of my light zipper and spoke," Insignificant fool!" He raised his hand and was about to crush me when suddenly I teleported right into his face. "Insignificant? I'll show you who's insignificant!" I glowed a right and purple light, then clapped. A prism of indestructible light surrounded his body, though it cut off his arms. "Such a weak primordial, I might as well take your energy," I concluded this quickly and floated to their face. He screamed in pain as he bled ichor from his severed arms, then begged for his life. I simply ignored his plea and placed my paw on his head. I made his suffering as long as i could, sucking his soul slowly and using it to re-energise my body and soul itself. "Such perfection, mmmmmm," I smiled widely and then became a holy god. My mind expanded and my magical powers grew beyond anything a mortal could comprehend. I smiled and finished them off by throwing a knife of pure eldritch energy at their head, slicing it off instantly, "Pathetic and weak, no wonder you hid," And then I disintegrated his body and turned the essence into a throne for me. It was at this moment i met Hecate. She approached me and I attempted to restrain her, though my magic failed me. "Interesting, another wielder of ancient magic. So young too. I'll be watching, though don't leave this land you found. It's your only warning," Then she disappeared. I was bewildered but so interested. Everything just got flipped. So that's whom they hid from. I needed to find them again. I wasn't going to face the wrath of one who can disable my magical capabilities so I simply sat down and explored my newly acquired knowledge. After a year of searching for a way, I found a way to make a portal to their village. I simply had to summon 500 eldritch gods, easy. I got right to it and began summoning them. I consumed all five-hundred beings and finally could create the portal. I was about to make it when my magic suddenly stopped working again. "What is it I stated a year ago Stephen Fox?" She queried, then snapped, teleporting me to her. "One, you don't scare me. Two, you told me not to leave my land. I had not yet, though I thought this would provoke you. I have a proposition for balance, will you hear it?" I asked. "Listen to a narcissist ramble about how they are better than everyone to hide from their own feelings of inferiority? Sure, go ahead," She spoke and then sat on my throne. "One, ouch. Two, fuck you. Three, I wish to keep the balance of magic. I can tell you're a powerful magical being, though you clearly do more than keep magical beings at bay like me. If you let me help, I can also give great advice. Because of my superiority complex, you can get a view much different than anyone else's," I begged. I craved power and the ability to be under the #1 person in the universe. "Bold to assume I don't have a narcissist already," She answered and simply began playing with a stick. She was quadrapedic then, so I suppose I didn't question it. "If I were to cause a flood on the mortal plane, what should my punishment be?" She asked. "A long and suffering death caused by the tearing of skin and dying from loss of blood through the second layer of skin you have. That is if you're killable," I answered truthfully. "Bold! But, you're honest. You would take pleasure in choosing a punishment yet you'd never play the punisher role yourself. All a judge but not an executioner. All right, you'll be my advisor of magic. I now grant you the title of the Supreme God Of Magic. You'll advise me on magic, but you'll also take initiative to fight the magical beings that wish to hurt mortals. Minimal civvie casualties. Understood?" She agreed and queried. I nodded and she took me to her advisory board. I am 15 now, enjoying free tea and biscuits while assisting my master. You new gods won't ever reach my power but do try. Reaching for the stars gives you the chance of actually claiming them. Have fun being coffee runners, and get me hot tea god damn it!
